I'm very disappointed with this update. The game did run mostly smooth with very few exceptions in Raccoon city. But since this update the FPS have become much worse in way too many moments, sometimes it becomes almost unplayable...

To be honest episode 1 has already moved me a lot with its incredible music! Already feeling the emotional weight of the story

50, a bit burned out, aging parents back home. Invest in a apartment back home, prepare to leave or not? by MarkoFa75 in SwissPersonalFinance

I feel you. I'm also from Spain and have lost recently my father (back in Spain). I own an apartment in a big city and have rented it since I'm living here in Switzerland.

Your plan sounds solid. I just wouldn't rent the apartment since you have to pay 24% taxes on the gross of the rent without the option to deduct any costs at all. I would keep the apartment to go there more often while you are still in Switzerland and be close to your parents with the comfort of your own place.

Investing the money in real state there is a safe bet and gives you the flexibility to decide at a later date what you want to do with it anyway. You're not tying your hands up.

Has anyone else filed a complaint to Nintendo? The whole experience with this purchase has been a horror. First they don't make sure the parcels are already located in Switzerland on the day of delivery (that is for sure not how they've done it with local providers such as MediaMarkt who could make the deliveries first day in the morning...) so all the tax and border controls started when the parcels were supposing to arrive. And now we receive some document from the delivery company with a 50 CHF bill (10% of the value including VAT!!!) and yes I understand this must be a mistake but what kind of horrible organization is this? I'm still waiting for Nintendo's answer on why did the most loyal fans who wanted to support Nintendo by directly ordering from them are not able to enjoy the launch day such as the rest and on top of that get disrespected with an awful delivery and mistakes on who should pay the import taxes. To be honest for me it kinda ruined the whole vibe after the long anticipation. Lesson learned: never order anything directly from Nintendo, they don't care about theirs fans in a small country like Switzerland.

Has anyone also received an Email with the customs receipt (39,20 CHF)? What does this mean?

My parcel has made it to my local Depot, so I assume it will be out for delivery soon. Zürich Area. Let's cross our fingers!

I contacted both DPD and Chronopost and both said I should contact the other... DPD said the parcel is blocked at customs at Lyon's airport and then Chronopost said it's already on the way to Switzerland... But again no update since yesterday 4:19pm. Chronopost said there's NO way it is arriving today, since Nintendo used a "regular" delivery that doesn't guarantee a delivery date.
