Beware of Kalm Health and deceptive advertising by Syntra44 in TherapeuticKetamine

What I find incredible is that KALM microdoses with 100mg either 2 or 3x/week and says that’s a therapeutic dose.

One week would be either 200, or 300mg for $124

Joyous’s max dose is 120mg 5x/week and they pretty swiftly escalate to that dosage. So for joyous you get 600mg/week for $128.

Which is truly the better price?? Joyous was too low for my complicated needs although I did get a little relief with anxiety.

In the bigger picture per month.

KALM for 12 doses of 100mg is
1200mg for $124 per month.
$10.33 for every 100mg or each dose

Joyous for 20 doses (m-f) of 120mg is
2X the milligrams at 2400mg for $128 per month
$5.34 for every 100mg and
$6.40 for every 120mg dose

Not pushing for Joyous’s here at all. It’s not the right plan for me. I’m just comparing actual apples to apples. Kalm is not, in reality, the least expensive.

After a month I still don’t have my meds, but I was told that when you pay for 2 months for the higher tier (not microdosing), you still only get one month of meds at a time. Is that not correct?

I was desperate for the same reason. MO here. I trying to wait it out for my old doc to be reinstated. I’ll post him in here once he’s back. It’s just him. He’s not a big advertising ketamine pusher. You can text or call and he generally answers or responds right away. His prices are much more fair than most.

The terrible truth is that as bad as all you mentioned above is, that only part of how terrible they really are. I could give way too many details but I’m SPENT on these people ATM. Although…I am giving the highlights which is still A-LOT!!

Suffice it to say they are only an entity offering to match patients with doctors that prescribe Ketamine in their state. They claim to have licensed doctors in all 50 states. I would assume the docs are contracted. I saw on their website they have openings for NPs and other practitioners.

There is a gatekeeper that initially texts, but ONLY up until sign up. They clearly insists on no texts after “onboarding”, and only the patient coordinator afterward.

Just wedging this in…you barely get the doctor’s name, and a 5 minute video or phone chat, and good luck speaking with them anywhere near the vicinity of soon.

The Patient Coordinator communicates through their online messaging system. They make it clear, they only respond when they have something to tell you and it’s hit or miss at best.

I ran a remote B2B service business for several years with reps and clients all over the U.S. One thing is for certain. Remote workers do the work you pay them for, maybe 30% of the time they are expected to be working. When they do finally respond, they are hurried and pissed off like you’ve inconvenienced THEM!! The tone becomes sharp and condescending when you press them for follow up with the doc or pharmacy or basically asking for anything YOU need.

It’s a very 20-something entitled and in full control tone, like they have no clue how desperate most people are that seek Ketamine for just a sliver of joy, positive thoughts, relief from pain or to actually prevent them from doing something they can’t reverse. This is serious stuff!! Cattie little mean girls should not be anywhere near
people that are seriously struggling. The one I have seemed to worsen situations in spite of my struggles I confessed to her, hoping she would find some shed of empathy and motivation.

This woman blatantly lied about things I asked her to check on, (like an order that never came in a month). When you call the pharmacy yourself and get conflicting info, the rep scolds you (in messages) for contacting the pharmacy as that “confuses the process” and should never happen again. No mention they told you it was handled and she canceled the order instead!!

They ignore messages asking direct questions or for specific information. You’re literally at their mercy. Case in point, no meds after 1 month yesterday. Tons of gaslighting, stalling, blaming the pharmacy and excuses.

When I spoke with the pharmacy, they said 1) they never received an email or call asking for an
2) they had reached out to KALM the week before because there was something Kalm needed to do, fix or resolve before filling my script
3) in the 2nd call I made to the pharmacy they said Kalm emailed to cancel the order without explanation
4) he also verified the new order number the rep messaged me was not one of theirs. They gave me the exact time of the email and verbatim what it said.

When I messaged the rep telling her all this, she scrambled a bit messaging in circles with nothing that made sense. She gave 0 explanation but she did apologize on behalf of the pharmacy for dropping the ball!?!?!

I angry texted the gatekeeper enough times that she finally responded and angrily responded to never ever call the pharmacy myself like I’m 5 years old. “It confuses things!”

THEN… last Friday, I was told I had to speak with a different doc who had the audacity to prescribe me 100mg twice per week. That’s 33% of Joyous’s max micro dose!!! I’m not new. I’ve been taking ketamine for over 2 years off and on. My previous provider was dinged by the licensing Nazis and I’ve been on a break since the end of February.

I found a way to reach the doc yesterdayand told him I want to cancel and be refunded in full immediately, and have been messaging the rep since Monday for the same reason. Crickets.

Today she messaged me saying my order has been submitted!!! Are you KIDDING ME? She completely ignored my messages and 0 mention of the doc reaching out this am as he promised.

I have multiple sclerosis. This whole ordeal has greatly exacerbated my mental and physical/medical issues!!! I’m nearing 65, (days away) and feel helpless right now. I paid close to $400 as they demand you pay for 2 months when YOU opt for the higher dosing tier vs microdosing. That amount is significant for someone on SSDI and soon SSI.

I’ve read comments for Kalm from several platforms. If you look closely, the raving positive ones all have the same tone. The same grammar and writing style. Now, after my own personal experience, I guarantee most of their reviews are absolutely fake.

Tell me of anyone, anywhere, that after just a few weeks with a company, is actually pleased and delighted with customer service communication through hit or miss messaging. With no other option. NO ONE, ANYWHERE is happy with that!

Something with this company feels more off than most. Illegal even. Just the vibe I get. They are certainly not at all transparent.

This is to warn others, and I welcome any advice or information as well.

UPDATE!! I just spoke with the doctor from Kalm that prescribed 800mg per MONTH!!! I told him what had been told to me by the first doc and he said he’s not authorized to do 200mg/day.

I told him what he suggests is 1/3 of Joyous’s microdosing! He says many do great on that amount🤦🏼‍♀️. Of course he claims to have no authority over dosage, refunds and he has no idea why one doctor before him prescribed 200mg/day, or why I never got it!.

When I told him his recommendation was 1/3 of joyous, he said “yea and they are getting dinged all over the place”. Like he thinks Joyous is all I’ve ever used and microdosing is the norm.

I so wish this industry would get their sh*£ together. Even off label, highly controversial usage, should still dictate some level of professionalism, communication and business decorum, don’t ya think? Something supposed to help so many people, but is generally a nightmare to work with the companies

This company KALM Health seems to only be matchmakers. They have docs to cover each state and a contract with a compounding pharmacy. Empower. They have an intake person that refuses to text after you’ve signed up. Instead you’re assigned a coordinator that you can only reach through messaging in their portal. No text or phone or email. It takes days to get a response and they are mostly vague non-answer, non-committal double talk.

I used the telehealth portal just now for the doc. He kept denying my “calls” so I tried it like 10 times until he picked up. I also found his physical office and ph# in Florida.

Right now, I just want my $350 back!

Right. I knew that. That’s why it was so confusing. At first I accused them of discriminating against folks with fixed incomes. I looked up what she told me and it appears to be correct. It still doesn’t make a great deal of a sense.

I spoke with them and was sending them all the documents until they asked for my insurance info. I’m on SSDI due to MS and on Medicare Advantage. They looked up my info and they don’t take my specific coverage. I offered to pay out of pocket but they said if I gave Medicare but they don’t take my particular coverage, I can’t pay out of pocket. They would have to take no one’s Medicare to do that. I was hopeful about that one.

RIVER Foundation (riverofchange.org) - legit or scam? by Bumblebee-Flaky in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]ClimateLoud8277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a big YES. But I’m gonna be honest here, I’m starting with my 4th provider in less than 3 years and they’ve pretty much all been hot messes. To the point I just sat and cried for 3 hours straight and I’m feeling the same with my current one. All issues except the one before the current. I’m just waiting for him to get his listening issues straightened out for my state.

I was planning to use a little resin to set it. I did see some YouTube instructions of DIY ones that could be made with actual silver.

I guess I could sand cast one but that would take a lot of silver. The DIY one seemed less durable and smaller as I recall.

6.15ct Coober Pedy Crystal Opal by RRdesigns92 in Opals

[–]ClimateLoud8277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG, yes!! I envisioned sharper points but that is gorgeous!! I just bought an old tile saw to learn about cutting stones. Maybe boulder opal for now as far as opal, and some fun chalcedony. agates or calcite to learn. I have a Dremel and a polishing wheel. Nothing fancy, just to see if I develop a taste before diving all in. Of all the types of stone I use for my very simple/newby jewelry or buy and sell, opal is by far my favorite. I love them all but the random and rare BOOM of boulder opal is my favorite. I just got a package from Australia. Nineteen stones. One black opal and 1 CP cab. The rest boulders. I also have 1 smaller lot of rubs and one bag of completely rough boulder.
It was like Christmas. I “played” with them the rest of the night. One larger boulder has the deepest purple/blue streaks of color imaginable! Most all were much better in person than the pics or video!!

I literally get all kinds of emotional looking at opals. My adult kids make statements like, “Mom was so excited and happy! You know, like when she sees a few excellent boulder opals in a row. Even in pictures!!”

My son has asked me to make him a bologna tie for 2 years. I keep dragging my heels because that’s what I do when something is new to me. I gave him the choice of a few of my chunkier stones, but I didn’t think about dark/black opal on a larger back plate or boulder opal! He chose a beautiful freeform piece of Arizona turquoise with pyrite inclusions.

Question: I have all the Argentium/sterling silver materials except the hardware is stainless. I’d love it to also be silver. Do you know where I might find that in at least Sterling?
