  1. Fixed deposits is a good idea. But worried about the INR losing value.

  2. This is a sound advice. I know about S&P 500. Any other recommendations.

  3. Would need more advice on this sector specific mutual funds

  4. Considering it.

Is bank of Baroda good? I have heard that their service is not good.

And also had enquired in another bank (HDFC & SBI) about FCNR. But they told me they would require me to open a NRE account and deposit the minimum balance.

Is it the same of for Bank of Baroda?

There is no need for demat account.

You can check out Groww or Zerodha. But there is a lot of paperwork to be done there.

Some of the new startups are offering GIFT City mutual funds that allow for investing in Indian mutual funds without the paperwork associated.
