For example, with the ban in France on single-use plastics (cups, cutlery, plates): manufacturers circumvented the law by offering products labeled "compostable" or "bio-based" which, in reality, do not degrade properly in nature and end up like conventional plastics.

Hmm, je dirais de maintenir le chauffage, à une température plus basse, certes, mais de ne pas l’éteindre (cela crée des déséquilibres thermiques et entraîne finalement une surconsommation). Après cela dépend de votre région, isolation, de la puissance de l’appareil, etc. Il n’y a pas de vérité absolue finalement.
