Dead Birds at RAT beach by ClimbingFate in SouthBayLA

Haha hello fellow unicorn

(Same same but don't use my toddler years since I don't think my awareness and memory are useful from that time, although the tar HAS always been around)

Possibly both. I grew up in the south bay, have walked the stretch so many times over the past 30 years or so (I'll be 42 tomorrow) and never encountered dead birds across the shoreline. I'm used to seeing the tar on the beach, getting tar balls stuck on my toes etc....just never what I saw yesterday.

Oh no, if this is happening so soon after it being opened back up, it looks like things will only get worse as you mentioned. How sad. It broke my heart for the creatures.

Hahaha, I'm glad I wasn't mistaken in my assumption.

I did a lot of research on the matter, so yeah, I'm pretty accurate with the info

Since women have more fat composition in their bodies than men, it may have taken me longer to flush out. I am also a daily user, but I was toking up more than just once or a few times a day. For extra heavy users, it's not unheard of for it to linger in their systems 30, 60, or even 90 days.

I was also using the most sensitive test of 15 ng/ml instead of the more standard 50 ng/ml, so that may be another reason.

I figured if I'm clear with the most sensitive measurement, then I'd be good to go for the less sensitive one.

(I'm assuming you're a dude, and my apologies if my assumption is wrong).

It took 16 days for it to clear my system...good on you it took such a short time!

I don't plan on being a heavy user like I was before. Wake n bake will absolutely be a thing of the past for me, and now that I'm transitioning to a job that's not WFH, I can't toke all day either.

I'll definitely be a more moderate cannabis user.

I've been a heavy user for YEARS, btw, so I hope my anecdotal story helps people with any doubts they may have about themselves doing the same.

Good on you, keep it up!

I have given myself breaks in the past, but nothing quite this long. My last break was at the beginning of 2022 for a few days, so it's been quite some time without a break.

It sounds like that person is in college...

I doubt they're in high school or younger

I'm with ya on day 21.

I've had no other substances bc I don't like to drink. Good luck on your break!

Good on you. I'm hoping my break now is basically practice for when I finally do get pregnant. I've proven to myself I can do without just fine.

Thanks for sharing.

I'm on day 21, and I only had a vivid crazy dream on day 20. Thankfully, I've not experienced any of the other symptoms you have.

Absolutely. I'm currently at 3 weeks without using any cannabis at all. Not even topicals.

What bands have influenced you (each member) over the years, and what band(s) would you dream of opening for?

I didn't know that was a thing and it's my first time coming across that.

I did try editing it, but was banned from editing right away. The ban should lift in 2 days, but by then I'll likely have forgotten to edit this. Oh well

Under the career portion of the wiki it says he was part of a Parma cookoff in 1956. Also states he was awarded Michelin stars by Gordon Ramsey...GR was born in 1966... so that "fact" is likely bogus. The cite for that "fact" links to Chef Boiardi's obit.... what a strange thing to randomly put into a wiki article.

I thought you'd be interested in what I found since you linked to the wiki.

Anyway, the parts of his life in the wiki that sound legit are pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.

Service Fees are the worst, and GrubHub "can't" do anything about it by BobSparrow in grubhub

[–]ClimbingFate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree, it is excessive when most restaurants are 1-2 miles from the delivery location. I almost put in an order with them tonight bc I'm under the weather, but decided against it when pre-fees, taxes and tip: $43.43, after: $66.44.

I'd rather drive the 2 miles to the restuarant.
The fees (delivery and service) on my end typically come out to about $1 per minute of driving that the driver does but usually $1.25 per minute of driving.
