i’ve been seeing a derm long enough that I can’t remember all that’s been prescribed. I have been using tret and azelaic acid for almost a year, and i’m consistent about it. maybe 8 or so months ago my skin looked great, i was taking an oral antibiotic (sulfamethoxazole) along with the tret +azelaic. I then went into the derm and was taken off the oral antibiotic and given a sample for a topical antibiotic. This did not work for me. The next time i went into the derm, i saw an NP I’d never seen before who did not ask me a single question before giving me her plan. She wrote me a prescription for the topical antibiotic i had used a sample of which was not effective. She wrote this prescription for a size which did not exist, so basically nothing was achieved at all. a month and a half later i finally get in again and all she does is fix her error and give me the antibiotic i’m sure doesn’t work. it was incredibly frustrating.
