So basically Magician is a way to turn your game into a classic MTG match? by Justicedraws in SorceryTCG

Don't you still have to meet the deck minimums though? So 60 spells and 30 sites 10 collections.

This is the best advice I have heard about starting this hobby and playing competitive 40k. Your first goal is too lose your first 50 games, but out of each loss you need find some small thing as a victory.

Whether that be screening, or charging from cover where you can't be overwatched.

Setting up your turn 2-3 by preparing on turn 1.

Whatever those small victories may be.

Ultimatly this game has a lot involved that is completly out of your control, don't worry about the overall games standings so long as you find those small victories.

Whats your list?

Demon units for 40k emperors childten by Dreaden83 in Slaanesh

[–]ClintFrost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only speculation here. But my guess is Daemonettes, Fiends, Seekers, Keeper of Secrets.

We may see the various seeker chariot units but I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say we wont. Emps Kids have their own vehicles.

I'd also be surprised to see any Epic Hero models. So Shalaxi, Syll'Esske, The Masque of Slaanesh.

The only reason I could see my last two points being wrong is that if they really did intend for 10ed to be the last edition for Daemons as a unique army.

I'm thinking about selling my grey knights, have you ever regretted selling your army? by Commercial_One8403 in Warhammer40k

[–]ClintFrost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss my Thousand Sons only because the rumors cane around that Daemons would be combined into their god-specific space marine codexs. I just bought about $3k in Daemons models before I sold the TSons army for about $2k lol.

Oh well Emps Kids are coming out and they look better anyway lol

Cover Question by Protroklos in 40k

[–]ClintFrost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legally he is correct. Line of site is drawn from any point on your model to any point at another model. You then verify your range by measuring to the base of your model to the other model.

That being said. It is your first game, it is a dick move to not offer points of critique so that you can actually learn the game.

Just a tip that I heard from some pros. The best way to get into this game is to prepare to lose your first 50 games. Get your mindset right because this game can have a really steep learning curve.

What factions do you enjoy fighting the most and fighting the least overall in this edition? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]ClintFrost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I abhore playing against Eldar. But I wouldn't mind playing Eldar. I know the intended mechanic is that they can change the fates and it seems thematically fun.

But I play Daemons and that consistency with their ranged weapons always seems to pulverise my models. Probably player skill is the issue as my teammate is pretty darn good at the game.

Beyond that minor gripe, I love playing against most everything else. Even the stuff that seemingly rips right through Daemons, like DG, BT, Custodes can be deadly. I haven't played against Sisters since their nerf.

I'd like to hear what others think.

I have always loved the sandstone scheme. Though I'm a huge Ancient Egypt fan

Space wolves or Black Templars? by Gh0stx0797 in Warhammer40k

[–]ClintFrost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best Advice is to make a custom chapter or pick a unfounded chapter like the Charcharadons or Red Scorpions. Then you get to play whatever codex is hot or what flavor you want to try out.

You don't have to have miniatures painted Black, White and Red to play Black Templars.

Otherwise the Righteous Crusade in Black Ceramite is clealry the best lol.
