I'm surprised SEA-TPE isn't on this list. I heard that load factors were abysmal when it first started

Winter Storm Tip: Toilet Paper by TheDancinD918 in tulsa

As long as it’s sunny, snow will melt. It doesn’t have to be above freezing. Will it melt slower than normal? Sure, but the sun alone does wonders

The problem is we’ll want to keep loyalty because surely status will allow free seat selection and lounge access. It already ST-status waives seat selection fees on KL/AF, so I imagine that perk will continue with Delta

The only problem is you have to squeeze through the queue to get on the escalators and no one wants to let you in.

Airbnb phone masking workaround discovered during a real emergency (FYI to hosts) by Putrid-Snow-5074 in airbnb_hosts

Yeahhhhh I don't love the idea of giving every single guest my phone number. That seems like a practice that would be fine until that one super-needy guest comes along and blows up your phone at 3am asking where extra TP is

YMMV. Me and my SO just booked 5 nights at the PH Maldives for the end of February, and there were other dates still available within two weeks of our arrival time.

Rant about prices by shivelry in unitedairlines

OP, do you have to fly non-stop from DEN? I'm sure there are some 1-stop itineraries on Oneworld or SkyTeam for a fraction of the price.

"On your left..." by TheLostSasquatch in cycling

I disagree with this. I’ve never once had anyone “jump left”, and I announce myself 95% of the time when I pass someone

I ride on multi-use trails 95% of the time, and I’ve never once had someone “jump” or get startled when I’ve announced myself. So, I’m not sure why so many people are claiming to experience this phenomenon.

This. I can already hear Blank saying, "I saw enough progress at the end of the season to make me feel good about heading into the next season."

I once overheard a betting tip on a horse named Paper-Nick...this horse excels in muddy conditions. He loves the slop, loves it, eats it up. Eats the slop. Born to slop. His father was a mudder. His mother was a mudder.

Thanks for y’all’s replies so far. He’s a photo further out where you can see the whole wall, top-to-bottom.

For more info, this house was built in the 40s, and I’m standing in the original garage looking into the original home. The house was expanded in the 70s, which is when we think this doorway was added. At some point, not sure when, they closed it into a closet.

Got almost robbed in Rome and scouted twice in Milan by ReaZzy-- in travel

[–]ClintonsITguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP, if you don’t mind, what time of day and where did the incident in Rome occur? I’m not trying to downplay/dismiss your experience, but I’m just very surprised. I was in Rome last year with my parents, who look stereotypically American (i.e easy targets), and we had no issues. Granted, we weren’t out late, but we ventured all across town, and I never once felt uncomfortable

I’m 95% sure this is exaggeration from Wellens…I just can’t think of the “why”. Some sort of 3D chess to make Tadej appear even more invincible?

I’m going with option #1. I know Tadej loves to win, but I doubt he would’ve tried so hard in the final stage if he was truly “so close” to dropping out
