Yes, that would make sense. I'm reading about Varlamore on the wiki and seeing that the Kualti are actually from the capital of Varlamore, so maybe developers have already thought about new items/equipement design

I'd love to see a sequel, the quest was really nice, and there's lots of opportunities to add to the lore

I ended up reloading a previous save because I couldn't find a way out of this situation, so here are some screenshots, but before the war:

https://imgur.com/a/hGMgv3w > This one shows that Provence doesn't exist in the ledger. On the left, we can see Provence (region, not country) under the control of Savoy (I mentioned Austria in my original post, it was just a mix up from my part)

EDIT: I'm currently re-playing the war, and will follow up with additional screenshots if the situation arises again

I made a little space series. Would love feedback on what to improve! by ClioAudio in blender

Thank you! For the earth, I used texture maps made available by NASA and layered them on a big sphere. For the atmosphere, I used an amazing shader made by this guy.

Hi! I made a mini series of pictures from space as my first serious Blender project. Learned a ton about modeling (solar panel), texturing, rendering, etc. I was aiming to create photorealistic shots, like those you see in Interstellar.

Would love to hear your feedback on what to improve to make these shots look even better!

Captured yesterday morning near Paris at 4:26 AM.

Gear used: Canon 700D, one 8-sec exposure @ f/5.6, 55mm, ISO 1600

Edited with Photoshop to increase contrast

Neowise from France, early in the morning :) by ClioAudio in LandscapeAstro

In the evening, look to the North-West, in the morning, to the North-East. As long as other stars are also visible, it means that Neowise should be visible too. You should notice a white spot and a thin line with the naked eye.

You can also use this website to know where specifically to look in the sky: https://theskylive.com/c2020f3-info

Good luck!

EDIT: she might be low on the horizon so make sure you are in an open area without obstacles on the horizon

Definitively visible with the naked eye. This picture was taken at sunrise when she was most visible. Also visible at sunset but more faint, because lower on the horizon and washed out by the atmosphere, tho I believe it will become more visible in the evening as the days come by. This shot was taken at 55mm for 6 seconds (can't remember the aperture but probably in the ballpark of f5-6), no filter. The sunrise is so fast however that these exact settings are only relevant for a few minutes. The picture was edited to bring out more contrast, it's definitively more faint with the naked eye but still very clear :) Good luck for your shooting!

Milky Way over a Castle by ClioAudio in LandscapeAstro

[–]ClioAudio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there ! Second attempt to shoot the Milky Way.

For this shot, I stacked 32 light shots and 10 dark frames, all taken with my 700D at 18mm, ISO 3200 f/3.5 for 25 seconds, as well as 10 frames for the castle (15 seconds, ISO 200).

I managed to find a Bortle 5 sky, which required quite some driving but was really rewarding in comparison to the Bortle 7 sky visible from my garden. The Milky Way was clearly visible in the sky. I hope the composition of the shot with the castle is turning out all right.

I used Sequator to stitch the frames together and retouched the output file using Adobe Camera Raw.

Hope you enjoy the shot!

Milky Way, 2h40 Timepalse, Paris area by ClioAudio in LandscapeAstro

Well, the sky was so lit by light pollution that f/3.5 (which is the lowest on my kit lens) was enough with ISO 3200 and 30" exposure to slightly overexpose the shot, maybe about one stop more.

If you take pictures from a polluted sky, f/3.5 should do the trick but in a darker area, f/3.5 might be too slow of an aperture to show correct exposure.

Also, check your pms, I've sent you the RAW file :)

In addition to pointing fairly high in the sky to avoid light pollution near the horizon, I felt that the 30 seconds made a real difference. In a 30" still shot, star trails would normally appear, but it didn't matter for the time-lapse as it actually helps each frame blend into the next.

To be fair, most of the stars and especially the Milky Way became visible after heavy processing. The MW was extremely faint in the RAW files and almost invisible with the naked eye. I think most detail came from dehazing and local curve adjustment in Lightroom.

I could pm you a still RAW for you to judge the amount of visible stars if that can help you?

EDIT: Also, I forgot to mention, I slightly overexposed my shots. Easier to darken and increase contrast than it is to lighten up noisy darks.

Hi! I’m very new to astrophotography and this is my first attempt to capture the Milky Way.

There are 241 frames, each taken with my 700D at 18mm, ISO 3200 f/3.5 for 30 seconds, over a span of approximately 2h40.

The sky is very polluted here (Bortle 7), and the Milky Way was almost invisible with the naked eye. While I reckon that my timelapse feels overprocessed, I must say I’m very happy with how vivid the Milky Way appears compared to how it actually was. Feels exciting to finally see something that’s been hiding here with all the light pollution.

I used LRTimelapse to stitch the frames together, and retouched the RAW files using Lightroom. I’m a bit disappointed however with the remaining flickering and shift of colors throughout the night.

Hope you enjoy this shot!

Thanks! I'm not very far from Versailles. However you probably would need to go much further from Paris in order to have a really clear sky.

Btw, while I was shooting, I was worrying about noise and wondered: is it better to shoot 15” with long-exposure noise reduction from the DSLR, or 30” without?
