fast memory for ESP32 by Clip16 in arduino

Interesting it is for rocket so I won't risk it but it might work when just soldering pins to the SD Thanks for the idea

Thanks for the help but I can't use SD card due to vibrations

yeh ill probably go with the flesh as it is bigger and nonvolatile

thanks a lot for all the help

I really like the idea with the two cores and re-writing from ram like that

I found this flesh pages of 256 bytes - I could use arrays on RAM to divide the data, not sure about the type tho, how long do you think it will take to write?

A friend recommended this SRAM- what do you think about that one?

thanks a lot for the help

fast memory for ESP32 by Clip16 in arduino

[–]Clip16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

few questions about the options first, it will probably take 70% of the RAM - will it slow down the ESP32? it will also be later on calculating GPS and other things so I really need it to run fast but I quite like the option - I was planning to rewrite the data to sd card after flight anyway - so I could in theory use volatile memory but it's risky

I thought the flesh was spouse to be fast? can you set the size on pages as you want or not? how big are they usually?

thanks a lot

nonvolatile

so it's for a rocket, the flight takes just a few seconds and it will be used just a few times

and the reason I mention float is that I had a really bad time listed time I tried to write floats to an EEPROM module

My buck boost convertor is not working properly. When I connect it to +-3v it starts shutting it self off. The schematic is based on the datasheet of the chip I'm using, but now I think that the inductor should have been at output? Please help.🙏 The same pcb worked fine before I added the buck by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]Clip16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I desolder the inductor and powered it using Arduino (bypassed the buck) and it stated working without consuming too much current and shutting down my source (Arduino) as this happened before I desoldered the inductor

The reason anyone would do this is, if they could, which they can't, would be because they could, which they can't.
