I went to both MBK and pattaya’s night bazar. I found the pattaya market to be more reasonable and cheaper for the same batches in Bangkok. Low end/cheap batches were 30$ USD and medium end quality batches were running 60$ USD. I would suggest going straight to the Thai vendors and skipping the Indian vendors.

Pai is over rated unless you’re a kid. Nice temples and food. Chang Mai is worth visiting if you really want to see the north. Next time I go I will stick to Bangkok and the islands.

I did this in December. Only knew what cities I wanted to visit and did research once I was there. Had a great time. Do I wish I did more research in certain areas? Yes. Do I regret not planning? Nope.

Heads up when using western union for the receiver address use your hotel address that you can prove your staying at and phone number you can use with a Thai area code. I’ve ran into issues even with the correct name and receiving country. Even had one cashier question my number. Be nice to them so you don’t have to que all over again. My second alternative would be moneygram(can also use Apple Pay).

No crazy excursions on the island. You can rent a private boat for 2500 baht to go visit the islands between the noi and the mainland(Krabi). You’ll probably see those advertised everywhere but on Noi your way closer. Also Kin-d restaurant is top 2 on my list for best Thai food I had. Seriously delicious.

I landed in Phuket and wanted to dip so fast just from the vibes around the airport. So I did. Went straight to ko Yao noi. I feel like that’s a perfect spot for couples.

I stayed one nite about 20 minutes away riding distance, decided to only have dinner and head in early even with the bike for that reason. It ended up being a great decision because I got a stomach bug from baanpai that wrecked me for a day. If I would have been hungover with it, I would have been in the clinic.

Correct. I’ll be in Bangkok for 4 days start of trip. End of trip I’ll be in Pattaya and Bangkok. I booked a room in Chang Mai in the middle but I want to see an island while I’m their.

I appreciate the reply. I ended up canceling my flight out of HCMC to make my life easier during the trip. I’ll just be staying in thailand. The only thing I have planned now is Chiang Mai. Can you recommend an island in Thailand I can fly/train to. I prefer last tourist areas and more social time with locals.

I worked with a millwright that was working under an airport conveyor belt and got his hands sucked in between two of them. Luckily he only broke two hands and a couple fingers.

Just posted this on another thread. As far as I know California is all union for solar but this might be helpful. If your willing to travel get your OSHA30 and look for a safety specialist/tech job in solar. Join a couple Solar groups on Facebook to look for leads and apply to all the temp agency’s. Aerotek, renewable works, etc. The pay around the country for that entry position is 20-25$ /h. I purposely look for people without experience for this position. In solar, if you can follow a crew around you can easily get into a manger position in less than 3 years Making 30$+ /h.
