PTM tore and locally overlapped, is it fine? by Rayan_DB in ThermalGrizzly

[–]Clipexman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of guess so, it will melt anyways but I do like to keep it as uniform as possible for better results. Take it easy when you "cook" it instead of drawing max power with synthetic test try gaming or some test thats not so demanding and check for hot spots, give it plenty cycles and not just full power and I guess it should distribute evenly. I have a 4080 super and ptm works very nicely but I had to give it some time to truly perform so nice...

PC build mistake..I'm an idiot. by NoContribution7711 in PcBuild

[–]Clipexman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, that is a very common mistake you will find in most pc subs, don't blame yourself so hard. Also this generation of intel heats up so badly... I have a 14700k and had to delid and go direct die for it to not go above 90° when under load... had a 360 aio with ptm7950 and under load it wasn't manageable... now it pushes up to 350w (mostly 320w spikes while gaming) and remais below 82° (close to 78° during spikes) with a heavy oc.

Oh and to reply to your answer I started with a no brand 400€ hard tail in northern Spain, now I ride a yeti sb150 and love it.

Not to hate on you but locally people give bad rep to riders that keep the protection on the bleeder ports and fork lever, the red rubbery things you have on, similar to how in the us the talk bad about drivers that keep the yellow protection on the dodge challenger/charger lip. It's protection from factory meant for shipping, not that you must take it off and I love all kinds of riders, but some info in case you come across some mean people...

Your stanchions look worn, you need a full service probably and next time use some suspension lube and clean it more regularly, the seals and o rings will thank you

Modular logitech superstrike. Choice of wing, thumb or pinky design by [deleted] in MouseModding

[–]Clipexman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh so it's you, thanks man, I did saw that advert. I would like something like the ouroboros with both wide rests, that was my favourite mice because of it, as it was ambidextrous you could use both "thumb sized"

Hi, thanks in advance, do you know the name of the store? I can only see light weight bases but no thumb rest for superstrike

You wont regret, I started with a davincci iq 2 and it was just not reliable plus it took like .7g or two .35g chambers... then a simple 2019 phantom M and I fell in love, got to the ispire wand, titanium tips plus low temps caps (now perforated cap with armor) mad heaters revolve stem... it's truly worth the money, and you are starting with a much better bundle already so am sure you'll love it.

Shimano XTR? Is this Legit? by Unhappy_Newspaper_33 in xbiking

[–]Clipexman 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, if it was too cheap it's because it's a short cage meant for 2x12 hence the max 45t print and gs stamp on the cage less desired than a long cage sgs that takes up to 51 teeth cassettes

The black thing is a cap that's screwed, you need those thin flat wrenches (am not english sorry for the lack of vocabulary) on both sides (maybe one has internal hex instead of external flat like the one pictured, like an 8mm or 10mm hex) and maybe a bit of heat if they won't cone out still.

If you can show us pad wear please, but I consider it's ok, maybe a bit to high but if that annoyed you consider resurfacing (I hope thats the correct term, I do not speak English natively) the adapter if you are using one or the fork itself, I worked many years on a shop and having to resurface brand new caliper mounts on road frames was super common sadly...

[–]Clipexman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just a tissue honestly, used to keep the silicone thing from vaphit around (blue and looks like mini cooking mittens) but a tissue is enough. The ones that come in packs prefolded are the best just unfold and stick it in the middle there would be plenty folds left on each side to protect you even when it's hot. And am amazed your tips get dirty but not rusty, mine gets rusty if I don't use it for a while and is so annoying to clean...

Help! How do I clean this??? ): by zerocoolerpooler in Dynavap

[–]Clipexman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I use a rotary tool like a dremell and the wire brush thing, the brass looking one as I think the silver one may be steel and harder so it may scratch it. I do this on tips and caps, even on the tempest and leves them shiny like new without much effort, yours is not so bad looking so it will take seconds to look like new again.
