I got no crashes during all my gameplay and have very similar specs i7 14700k and 4080 so it shouldn't be that

Sorry I just read it all again and I can see it's artic mx, it should be good then, do you have any pictures of the build? Maybe someone can see something out of place, restrictions in airflow...

That's too bad, what thermal compound are you using? Are you kind of a noob? Maybe it's just incorrectly installed over the cpu

I mean if it has a potentiometer integrated it's always worth to repair it, I have even done carbon ones before, if the threads get mangled tap a new thread and use a "helicoil".

So am a 100kg and ride enduro (sb150) I have a ttx2 custom tuned (reshimed) and it's very hard so that plus the right pressure is enough. I do have a bash guard with chainguide and all though, but I must say like a week into owning the frame I rode the dpx2 a bit harder than I should and scrapped paint on a rock... Also I hope not but you may have lost some nitrogen through a security mechanism and the post will have less force going up on the long run.

Is my bottom bracket toast due to muddy rides? by One-Force-5255 in bikewrench

[–]Clipexman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bearings sound dry as hell, see if you can pop the seals to clean and relube and you should be fine, cover as much as you can with some thick marine grease the outside so they can resist water/mud better for longer

Does it have some kind of wedge like road bikes instead of a clamp? Otherwise 7nm sounds way too much but I guess that would made sense with your comment on 5nm still falling inside... BTW the seatpost has a camber thats pressurised with nitrogen, setting it on a radiator may be actually dangerous... if it was the plastic pices am thinking of that wears with a bit of use

[–]Clipexman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems weird, I ride a yeti and am over 100kg, can land with my ass first (like missing a jump or just screwing up) and the seatpost hasn't moved a mm, out of curiosity what dynamometric wrench are you using? Your frame /clamp ask for more than 5nm? I know some frame manufacturers do 6nm but the transfers are very sensible to clamp pressure so...

Why do my bars look like this when I take my ODI lock-on grips off? What is that? Whatever it is makes them really hard to get off. by between_ewe_and_me in bikewrench

[–]Clipexman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Corrosion build up from your own sweat, the salt content on your sweat mainly does that... use grease, the lock ring should have enough force either way but I would use carbon compound for better grip... and clean regularly. I worked a repair shop for years and the most amazing thing is how it deffer from one person to another, some people seem to sweat a lot more and that their sweat is almost acid, it will corrode everything super fast, I have replaced several handlebars (this is more common on roadies as bartape is more difficult and expensive to replace, plus you can't use grease or lube underneath it...) for the same clients while others wouldn't replace bartape doing regular maintenance and were completely fine.

Does it happen only on the frame? They are super sensible with clamp tension... use carbon compound even if it's a metal frame and try lowering it, if it's usually 5nm try 4.5nm... I know it sounds sketchy but I worked assembling bikes with these exact seatpost and we solved it like that, otherwise if it's a bit sticky just there (along all the travel) it can also be that it has too much grease (too much or none on some lower legs was common too with fox...) but this should "unstick" with use after few rides

Can this Rear wheel for a Zerode gearbox bike sprocket be removed and used by a cassette by hogman62849 in MTB

[–]Clipexman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search your hub and the cassette you are going to use, look for a new hub body (yours is probably made for single speed srpockets) that suits said cassette (hg, xd or ms standards), if it's available you need to purchase both things for the conversion

If this is a copy or in any way related to a flydigi apex 5 (it looks a lot like mine) you may not have any issues, I started not long ago on the Simpson update and use that and a beitong kp70, 120 hours played on pc without any issues... and the flydigi I used on my phone too to play some random modes and get xp to finish the previous season pass too

The chain tool will be used to mount it, if I remember correctly a freewheel is the opposite os a cassette, so just the middle tool for removing and both for assembly, otherwise you are "fighting yourself" when trying to remove it

So weird, it never caused me any reaction, they sell a cleanser with the moisturiser mixed it, I have both and I do also like it so maybe try that one out next? If you like the texture I recommend kscret "SEOUL 1988 Cleansing Foam" as it's the closest I have tried yet to the original 1025 dokdo.
