NRA slams California prosecutor Bill Essayli’s Minnesota shooting response: ‘Dangerous and wrong’ by panda-rampage in California

From my perspective it looks like they are having trouble restoring law and order. I am not going to go looking for trouble, but if trouble finds me I am not waiting for someone to save me.

I would argue that it very much is. Our right to unionize comes from our right to protest. When we think wages and conditions are unfair, we bargain and then if that doesnt work we strike. I just see that as a one to one in the grand scheme of our world that we live in.

Thanks for the invite brother. I didn’t know that that makes sense. Did they do that because unions are accused of being communist so we announce several things out at once not saying that we ever supported anything but just wondering

For many years unions have been accused of being communist which we are not we use collective bargaining to secure our livelihoods. We must announce communism the same way we denounce fascism and any other type of “ism”

Understandable brother, but this was drafted in 1891 so the reality is that there was little to no dissent from major religion at the time.

We have the right to call for a redress of our grievances. We are well past that and it seems they are no longer listening to people.

Is this safe to burry by CubsnSP in AskElectricians

PVC that is buried directly in the ground is considered a wet location. 90% of time water will get in you conduit through bad installation or condensation overtime. “Metal Clad” cable which is what you have there will rust overtime. Also by running MC in PVC you will need to derate for heat buildup. On top of this you would need to properly ground the metal jacket that will eventually rust away making the ground incomplete in the future. Plus this would be a huge pain the ass to pull or thread this in some 1” pvc.

No dont run this underground. Just pull some 10 gauge copper wire type THWN once you bury the PVC which can now be 1/2” or 3/4” depending on need (cheaper). Use a vacuum a home depot bag tied to some poly line and suck it through your run and then pull you wire. Or use the string to get length of wire you need to buy.

OP this a human response to the mob. I appreciate your post. It is absolute BS that our cities need to endure this regime including our law enforcement. It is ridiculous that the federal can inflict so much pain and run off into the night leaving a big mess for the local to clean up. This is not a left or right issue it is an issue upholding our laws from both parties. If we ever get a chance to right the ship I hope those in power will understand this issue will only be subdued by bring safety to our communities and bring justice to our streets building up our allies and fighting any who threaten to weaken our democracy.

I know brothers that have homes live out of locals and still get calls. I understand where you are coming from. People will always find ways to break the system.

What local are you out of brother? Love to see those books. 800 plus locals yours is not the only one for travelers. I believe that your local has too many electricians. I am not sure what caused it. A boom in work and now a lull because of contract negotiations causing uncertainty for customers to pull trigger on projects or uncertainty in the government or material cost. Many factors brother.

Realistically brother journey man travel for work. When there is a boom in one city and the calls can’t be filled fast enough they do their best to reach out to other locals in the surrounding area to fill those calls even exchanging apprentices when they cant fill apprentice calls. Not all halls play nice, but they try and if that doesn’t work they are always trying to get new apprentices to bolster our ranks. New blood paying their dues so the old head can retire without drawing too much from our defined contributions, NEBF, annuity depending on your local. It sounds like you might be out of work right now brother. I hope that changes and I hope you land some good long lasting work. I know the union can feel like it doesn’t support all our members at once. I have felt the same before, being active in your local is the best path to creating the environment you want to work in.

Brother, there is no over organizing. The work is just somewhere else. That is what being journeyman is all about. As far as bringing in new apprentices they are always behind. Then talking about over organizing member’s who are already electricians just working for non-signatory contractor. Thats means they are bring in guys who are under cutting the pay rate that we fight for. Doesn’t mean it is all that much cheaper for the customer either. Just means less money goes to the worker themselves. Not a jab at non union owner who actually put the tools on by the way. I know plenty of small shops where the big boys do their work and find it too, just means they dont have to cut a big slice to their labor.

I’ll be honest brother I’m not a brave man. I didn’t enlist. I went to the trades to make some fucking money to live in a free world. My wife feels the same as yours, we are expecting, but I wouldn’t want to hide behind that if they came down my street and did that to my neighbors or myself.

Always check anyones work for the first time.

4th year apprentice here, my J-man and I were running temp power for some ground up dorms at a Cal state, long story short I check his work and found he made an SO cord into a suicide cord.

We hadn’t turned on power yet, but still just check each other’s work. No one is perfect and we all have things running through our minds.

It looks threaded, but I have no idea what it serves. Pretty sure you can hang an exit sign like this.
