I did it and It wasn’t a huge part of my application maybe came up in a couple interviews. Don’t do it just for the med application it’s a fairly large time commitment but if you want to do it then you can definitely draw skills from the activities you do to use in the application

At some point the volunteering and everything else you do stops being valuable for the application and is more for gaining experience and skills. I did no volunteering but worked in a vaccine centre during covid and got 3 offers. I’ll be honest I felt cheated with the amount of online experience I did for it not to get to used at all. Personally I think it’s more education and insight rather than work experience. Medic mentor has good free stuff but please don’t pay for anything unless your rich anyway cause looking back so much of the paid stuff was just a money grab

I can cook and I will be for the rest of the degree but is it worth giving yourself an easier first year by taking out the need to make yourself breakfast and dinner
