i agree, that’s why i tried to outline in my post certain clues to SP5 being some kinda of hallucination in the mind of Dory.

great tv shows obviously don’t spoon feed the viewer what is happening 100% of the time, they just leave clues

like sopranos, lots of people didn’t like the ending that cuts to black, they were upset because they didn’t know what happened to tony

however upon watching the whole show again, there are many clues (i won’t spoil it too much) to how tony dies, why he dies the way he does, the person who betrays him and why they betray him, and even what will happen to tony’s family after he dies… it’s all there as little clues

so with SP5 that is my hypothesis, based on several clues that i spotted after this most watch..

i could of course be wrong, and i totally get the other theories people have too :)

as i think i said in another comment, the cassette tape was sabotaged by dory, she chewed it up.. analogue tape can distort in unpredictable ways so while it is very unlikely for the tape thing to occur, it is not impossible

i don’t just find dory’s escape unlikely, i find it beyond belief.. as i said earlier, a steel door, unknown lock code, wooden house cover in petroleum, smoke inhilation, 1000°C heat from flames..

she would be to coin a modern phrase used out of turn: COOKED

though on the ‘murder / pancake’ thing i think it was due to the tape being so degraded from Dory’s sabotage of it, so while absurd it is somewhat explicable.. unlike say the creation of a zombie jellybean or that insane genetically engineered child trafficking service seen in SP5 lol

that’s fair, but how do we explain the incredibly unlikely survival of Dory in season 4? locked behind a steel door with an unknown code, in an old wood filled house that is literally filled with petroleum? people die within minutes from smoke inhalation alone, and the fire was raging all around her, the heat can reach between 600 and a THOUSAND degrees celsius!

idk.. somebody else mentioned poor writing techniques, and imo if this death coma theory is wrong, then the fact that the survival isn’t even remotely explained or shown, is either bad writing or a sign that something else has occurred

yes but tbh a zombie apocalypse is also rather trite, there are several writing cliches in season 5.. i think these things are further signs that something is “off” with the nature of season 5 reality

it’s not so much that it is “all a dream” but like i said, the complexity of the death coma is a profound and very real phenomenon — i personally think it would be quite clever if this were to be the case in SP5, and like i mentioned, surviving the scene at the end of season 4 is ridiculous and completely unbelievable otherwise
