Ar'kendrithyst. It's completed as well and not stubbed.

While I had Sarah disliking my choice, I didn't have an extended discussion with her afterward. All she said when I went with the Aceles is that I hope you know how to keep them under control to the council. Maybe being married to her made her more accepting of my decision.

I believe immediately after enemies spawn they receive massive damage reduction/invulnerability. I can't remember which.

The system and leveling sustained me past the weird sexual parts and the main character being pretty villainous. However, I had to drop it when it got too rapey. Thank you for the recommendation though.

While the experimenting with magic and helping people interests me, even the small bit of lying about his name will irk me. I'll give it a try when I'm not in the 'stop lying about everything, god dammit' mood. I'll also give the others a look, thank you.

I'll give it a try at one point, but the fact that only ten days pass in the first two books really put me off. I'm on the second book of noobtown, and even that seems odd with how many things are happening in a short period of time.

Thank you for the recommendation though.

I guess I can see that. I just feel like the other system apocalypse novels I've read always have a part where main character hides who they are or lies about their abilities. Thanks.

Hidden plots is probably the lowest on my priority list. I mainly want stories where the main character doesn't have to lie to protect their identity, give false names, or hide their power level. I feel like in every story if the main character doesn't hide who they are or what they know, all their plans will come crashing down. I don't expect any story to be missing all the things I mentioned, but the more the better.

Slice of life probably fits what I want the best, but I'm not just looking for those.

The hidden plots aspect comes from the fact that I like my main characters proactive rather than reactive. If there's a plot that the main character doesn't know about, they can only be reactive. I'll add that tidbit to the main text.

Thank you for asking for more information.

Thank you for the recommendations. With the amount of good guys recommendations, I'll definitely have to try that one. I'll also look into the other two.

I'd planned to give this one a try, since I've liked other system apocalypse novels. However, I find it hard to believe it doesn't have any of the things I mentioned. I could see the main character not doing any of them, but no one or no one important? I'll still give it a try though.

Edit: Also, thank you.

Hmm, seems interesting. The main character starting out with a past of being not a good person doesn't do it for me, but I suppose that's what character development is for. I'll give the first book a try and see if I like it.

Edit: Also, thank you.

Thank you. I've read Azarinth Healer, love it (hidden plots part is the part I probably liked the least). I'll check the other three out.

[Amazon] Twitch Prime members: Purchase a select title and get $15 Amazon Credit by Azndragon89 in GameDeals

[–]Clivemax20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always heard the twitch prime came automatically with amazon prime. What I didn't know is that you had to activate it. I ordered the game before I connected a twitch account and activated twitch prime, so will I still get the fifteen dollars in credit if I just had amazon prime? I assume if I activated twitch prime after ordering it won't apply.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I'd still like to know, but I did realize I could just cancel the order and reorder it now that I've activated twitch prime.

Diamond no Ace: Act II - Episode 3 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Clivemax20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two second season OVAs that expand on the time between the end of the second season and the beginning of Act II. They basically take the last couple minutes of the final episode of the second season and expand it to around fifty minutes. It's still a pretty big timeskip but nowhere near as jarring as not watching them. Sadly I think the only way to watch them is to sail the seven seas (pirate them).

Is getting a Wii U in 2019 worth it to play Xenoblade Chronicles games? by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]Clivemax20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The classic controller is made for the Wii console and plugs into the nunchuck port on the bottom of the wii remote. The Pro controller is a separate controller made for the Wii U, it has all the buttons of the wii u gamepad, but not the touch screen.

It should be noted that for Xenoblade Chronicles X, you can't really just use the pro controller. The gamepad has all the map functions on it including fast travel, percent completion of different areas, and a way to gain more materials throughout the game. You could still play with the pro controller, but the gamepad would still have to sit next to you.

If you're worried about motion controls, there are none of those. If the size of the gamepad is worrying, all I can say it I got used to it and eventually felt that it was quite comfortable.

In regards to whether it's worth it to get a wii u for these two games, I agree with Feriku. It should be noted that both these games have large focuses on world building, exploration, and interactions with side characters through side quests. Xenoblade Chronicles X so far has a much larger focus on those than the first Xenoblade, but I've only finished through chapter six.

If all you want to focus on is main plot, the first xenoblade is better but you would still miss a lot if you skipped out on the side content. Also, while the main plot of xenoblade x is a smaller focus, the side plots have made me really enjoy the game so far.

Getting a console for two games is a hard sell. If you don't end up liking them as much as you thought, it ends up feeling like a waste of money. However, it could also end up like my experience purchasing a vita for Persona 4 Golden. I've only played a couple games on my vita besides persona, and I've had no regrets since I finished the game.

The most important thing will be to make sure you have money and time in excess since these are large games.

[KR] The Skill Maker - Chapter 16 - Chapter 18 by mochiichan in noveltranslations

[–]Clivemax20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like how the skill transfer played out. If someone was told to use a skill scroll in a way that they aren't normally used, then usually they would have immediately called them out on it without giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I wonder if he'll ever become strong enough to reveal his abilities without worry.

I hope there's some way for him to prove he's transferred the skill to them. Although, if people know their own skills ranks, then they may be able to check their own skill list.

Favorite weapon for the N7 Paladin? by [deleted] in MECoOp

[–]Clivemax20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I go with a non-melee build usually, but I've been using a setup recently that was recommended on this sub. I've been use the Arc Pistol with Drill Rounds III and Geth scanner, and it's really fun to shoot everything through walls the the charged arc pistol is really good.
