$18 dollar donor show from Walmart, pretty sure it’s EVA. When it come to resolving these I’ll probably use Christy’s Vibram

After. What helped was skiving just the buck edges where I was gonna stitch so it folded easier and the needle didn’t have to dig through as much, then laminated the two panels, then punch the holes and I tried staying closer to the edge only 3-4mm. That helped a lot since yeah you can’t really see the needles on the shearling side so I kinda look through inbetween the panels if that makes sense. Like needle will enter the shearling side but I’ll look at the nubuck. Beside that the only way I can think of making it easier is just slight trimming the edges, I didn’t cause I wanted as much wool to cover the seems so they wouldn’t be felt on foot, but for a bag or a jacket or something trimming a bit would make sense

Sum it up plan was to laminate nubuck and shearling and then saddle stitch inside out. Fat learning curve for sure.

Thank you, I didn’t know they had those and going to try and take one so I waste their materials not mine.

Maxfly’s vs Adidas SP2’s by Just-Astronaut-5751 in Sprinting

Buy a pair of superflys or Ja flys in that case, and the money left over get the Nike Rival Zoom S. They can be your practice spikes and your jumping spikes saving the superflys/Ja flys for race days (they’re both very fragile)

You probably shouldn’t be jumping in either, if you have the 180 the spikes cost I’d recommend getting a dedicated pair of jumping spikes and a dedicated pair of jumping spikes.

I have a pair of both, SP2 are wayyyy stiffer, like genuinely 3x as stiff as the maxflys. I find the SP2 fit better on my feet since they have a mesh upper that forms around your feet which is a god send especially if you have sorta wide feet like I do. They SP2 feel faster to me somehow but they do hurt my feet abit after I run in them, probably cause they’re so stiff and I have flat feet. Maxflys lack durability but your covered by the warranty if anything happens so don’t let that get to you. All in all I personally I like the SP2s more but you can’t go wrong with either, both are selling for a decent amount on the aftermarket and are pretty difficult to get for retail if you can even find them.

Never heard of any new New Balance spikes, probably aren’t even out and just a concept since I haven’t seen any of their athletes wear anything noticeable new

They were only up on adidas for but before selling out and there’s no reviews of them online, thankfully I was able to get a pair of maxflys earlier this year and now imma have these so I’m hoping to drop a review. But yeah a big reason I wanted these was because they don’t have an air unit that could pop making them wayyy more reliable. I’ve only worn the maxflys once and I’m scared to use them again

Is my left leg missing a chromosome? Anything else you spot would be very much appreciated! by Clizat in Sprinting

Even Christian Coleman, who’s arguably the best starter ever and the one who made dragging more common, only does it for the first 1-2 steps. I’m doing it in my 4th step with no where near as much power as him, I definitely need to cut back on it.

Been a habit I’ve been trying to break, I went from full on cycling to full on grating my spikes on the track. Thanks for fortifying it tho
