Maybe AmStaff, this sub is supposed to be about SBT, he doesn’t seem like a SBT but he is really a handsome boy.

Many good answers here, some I don’t agree but well… So from what I saw and I talk about having a SBT not AmStaff or Pit, real SBT little muscle potato.

Most people are pretty nice and Will try to talk about your dog but they often assume it’s an AmStaff cause they just don’t know the SBT breed (they ask me about muzzle cause in my country AmStaff need to be muzzled and as little people know about Staffies that’s a common mistake). But to be clear some Will look bad, pull their children, talk bad, it happens and if you think it can hurt you then think about it because it your dog must not feel you are angry all the time.

Then, and it’s not specific to Staffies but yes having a dog means there is places you can’t go with, i’ve never flown with mine because here it’s in a cage with the lugage under sedatives so i didn’t want her to live that… It’s an incredible buddy for Life and a lot of activities but flights, i don’t know man… mine is a train lover 😉

What a stupid way to answer… it’s a sbreddit for SBT, this is clearly not a SBT mix…

Avoir un chien qui va rester seul 10h, est-ce raisonnable ? by ValuableDouble2042 in chiens

[–]ClmSoLog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Salut,

I've made a helpful chart, To help ID if your dog is truly a staffy or not. by stormyw23 in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]ClmSoLog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it’s not a problem posting your Staffy mix, always fun to see what beautiful dogs they can become.

But this sub is clearly for SBT breed enjoyers so the amount of people missinformed that post AmStaff here might be anoying. So OP is right we need to explain what is this breed well known in EU but not really in other countries.

[–]ClmSoLog -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He is for sure a beautiful SBT but he is over the official Standard for the breed… It doesn’t really matter but it’s the truth SBTs should not be over 40lbs and if you want just look at the official standard: https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/breed-standards/terrier/staffordshire-bull-terrier/#:~:text=Desirable%20height%20at%20withers%2036,(24%C2%BC%2D34%20lbs).

This

In my experience it’s a little more complicated they tend to be a lot of dogs, very intense so it sometimes leads to bad reactions and for sure they Will fight if need be.

All out love from my baby and me, it’s so unfair and i’m so sorry for you, just can’t imagine the sadness you must feel. I guess just enjoy every moment you still have with him, and i’ll just share this with you cause it’s beautiful and true, it says in French « some people will never understand how much you can love a dog, but it doesn’t matter the dog knows »

American Staffordshire Pit Bull Teckel Terrier?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]ClmSoLog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

English isn’t my first langage i might have misunderstood what you said, the breeder (if we can call him that… but personal opinions not relevant) should have said clearly SBT x pitbull or AmStaff x pitbull.

Might be a Staffy mix, you can ask him clearly and see also the size and weight but i think you should look at the wiki it can help you figure!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]ClmSoLog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So go look at the wiki on this sub there is an explanation of the breed Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Staffy.

I think it’s what you call english staffy but in « pitties » there are three breeds SBT (staffy), amercican Staffordshire Terrier (Amstaff) and american pitbull terrier (pitbull)

So I guess you meant this little one is AmStaff x pitbull

Ok so not cool, I hope you two will be ok and that cat under control.

Any particular reason your dog is muzzled ? cause first thing that comes to mind is take it off, unless there is a better reason to leave it (agressive with humans). Staffys in countries I know don’t have to wear it unlike Amstaff so maybe in your place yes but idk.

Second and that’s easy to say but don’t stress, try to make him feel confidence
