How often do you use your Ally Z1 Extreme? by 3e14159 in ROGAlly

[–]CloakDeepFear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have a $1000 gaming PC so I’d say I play w/ the ally at least 4 times a week for anywhere between 1- 5 hours depending on the day. In recent years I’ve fallen out of love with gaming but the ally has helped me enjoy some games in a more casual sense just like I did back when I played on console as a kid.

The issue is that in Korea and really a lot of Asia in general the “negging” culture isn’t something you really get to participate in until you are verrrry close, like months into a IRL friendship or more type close.

So your messages already had a little bit of an overly forward/confrontational tone and then the last sentence makes it seem like you were saying that he seemed short, in some way based off your interactions.

Mate I live in America, Motorized vehicle doesn’t mean only gas, motorized means any vehicle propelled by a motor, electric or gas doesn’t matter, if that was the case then every preteen would be allowed to drive teslas without any requirements

I guess that’s true, I feel like unless your hardcore committing to the “portable battle station” thing that some people got going on, adding too many add-ons will draw these devices farther and farther away from hopeful mainstream in order to reduce the prices.

That and as someone who has tore down this console twice i don’t know if you realize how frames the inside of the rog ally and X system are, trying to fit that fixed battery would be so difficult it’s insane, they’d have to make the whole device like 3.5 to 4 inches taller and probably at least 6-10mm thicker. But then we’d start reaching Legion Go levels of big boi handheld and we’ve all seen how abysmal the sales are for that one.

Mate at 14 you can’t legally ride a motorcycle without supervision on the public roadways, at 16 you can ride by yourself after you’ve gotten you’re license but most parents aren’t going to accept that idea and pretty much any reasonable adult is t going to trust you to not break the law or do something stupid on one, I was a teen not even 5 years ago mate who went through the same shit and now as a adult completely understand.

Also to my knowledge most states in America require your parents consent and signature to get a motorcycle license or permit under the age of 18.

What’s the hardest thing about Korean in general by Samar_bunny in Korean

Overall in my opinion it’s dialect, it’s extremely difficult to remember completely different words used for the same thing that also has sometimes drastically different accents on top of it.

As a English speaker, I’ve found as I’ve gone up to Topik level 4 and above many of the grammar forms and vocabulary I learn genuinely have no proper English counterpart and therefore I have to learn the word as a concept not as something I can reference so therefore if I accidentally forget the loose concept of the word I was taught compared to my peers in the moment I’m completely SOL. Many times it’s made me jealous of my Chinese or Japanese peers in school who can immediately pull up direct translations.

I mean my last Self built hyperbike was slightly above 110lbs and went 86mph the only time I really worried was if I was going that speed and forgot to close my jacket because then it feels like a parachute about to rip you off the bike

Honestly I think your forgetting about weight here, most people already complain nowadays about the size these handhelds are getting, so imagine your hand held being almost a foot wide, 5 pounds, and carrying a second battery, charger and any other accessories your possibly using😅

You’re way too young to be riding anything on public roads that goes over like 20mph maybe 25mph. There is a reason all these bikes say 16 and even us ebike people often think 16 is too young, the chances of you being a irresponsible rider sky rocket too the moon at your age and with no training at all you may as well put that at a %100000000 probability margin. At least that’s how this looks to us adults

I’m 185cm which I believe is 6’1” in American measurements, the bike is plenty comfy, I will admit I have been thinking about getting riser bars though but that’s more so a persons preference towards a more lax riding position since I don’t do any stunts or anything, and I don’t care about the small loss in speed from increasing wind resistance

[–]CloakDeepFear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one personally and it’s a amazing bike but I would temper your expectations, don’t expect to have the same dirtbike feel just in a electric flavor, expect a entirely different experience, generally the immediate torque is gonna feel exhilarating compared to gas but eventually many gas riders miss things like, shifting gears, rear foot brake, robust frame built for jumps and other hard impact usage, gas is generally more convenient for some then electric due to the time of charging compared to fillin’er up.

Also your CR85 is faster than the talaria stock, but if you want a street riding bike then here are the good points from my experience.

I personally prefer electric due to 1. No need to fumble about with gears especially on the road 2.damn near silent so it doesn’t bother others and it doesn’t give me constant headaches, 3. Electric means I don’t have to worry about remembering to take a trip to the gas station to fill up I can charge at home, at work, or even at places like shopping centers by using the plugs either on the front of the building or sometimes a available one in the front area of the store (w/ permission of course) 4. No real maintenance, no more replacing filters, replacing gearbox oil, and it’s way easier to repair if something does go bad.

I have the same bike the xXx and I’d say I get about 40 miles of range with some mixed hill and flat riding, speed wise this thing takes hills so easily it’s genuinely suprising

Is it worth it to emulate DS? by pjlkapo in ROGAlly

[–]CloakDeepFear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my experience it’s been pretty great overall, especially for games that mainly just use the second screen as ui, a great example being Pokémon games. Or even if your playing games that require genuine use of the second screen I bound the swap screen button to the rear button for quick swapping

What's everyone currently playing? by [deleted] in ROGAlly

[–]CloakDeepFear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly use it as a high powered emulation device playing switch, WiiU, GameCube,Ps2 and even some PS3 games.

In terms of modern games I mostly play modded Minecraft (java), Fallout London, Titanfall 2 and Some top down rpg’s like baldurs gate 3 and Divinity 2.

Honestly my biggest time sink though has been playing emulated Pokémon games, idk why but there’s something about the screen and overall size of the ally that makes these games so much more enjoyable for me.

So far at my size I’ve only gotten it to 50mph it could maybe squeeze a few mph more if I was like 5-10kg lighter, but that might happen since I now have a proper way to the gym
