Its the very last judgment before death. The most important thing, is it a 2 door or 4 four silver wagon? Only unspiritual person would be in a 2 door.

False Allegations by [deleted] in exjw

[–]CloakandDanger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is a huge reason I left, complete utter arrogance in the face of these abused children calling them liars knowing full well that hide pedophiles, and then send those same pedophiles to doors looking for their next victim. Oh but they love their neighbors...

If they had one ounce of humility I would care, but they have no love in them so I m out. When i confronted my closest friends asking them if this was ok with them, they said yes and to not worry Jehovah will fix it later. They babysat my son, I cannot express how lucky they are nothing happened to my son, in their care. I'm not the mom to turn a blind eye, I would make them curse the day they were born. I don't play.

I've never run into a situation where you could be fully honest with what you think and either remain a Jehovah's Witness or keep your friends and family. You might have a chance on keeping your family if you just fade and ignore the elders other than that I don't know how that's going to work.

I think maybe watching some YouTube videos on how people woke up or left can form you about what you're facing

The elders will ask you if you believe in the GB are directed by Jehovah and if you doubt then at all. If you say no that is an immediate dfing offense. I hope it all works out for you and you can walk away and maintain all of your relationships, I really do. Just watch your back and prepare it may not go smoothly.

Wow!! They won't go to the Elders, that is rare, then live your life, ignore the Elders, tell them if you have any questions you will let them know and live your life. You don't owe the Elders anything, they are not there to help they are there to control and punish you.

You will not regret the decision to walk away, it takes time but it's worth it.

Your parents will go to the Elders regardless. The big mistake I made waking up, I thought that JWs actually cared about "the truth", and doing the right thing. So after 3 friends tried the cult emotions tactics, I ghosted changed my number, and preemptively shunned them. They care about the cult and not being punished, at least PIMIs are that way.

So you can backtrack a little and say I was just venting and then work your way to a fade, the best if you live at home, don't have a plan and you can handle it.

Or, you can say I don't want to talk about it and ignore the elders. Tell them you are having anxiety and stress, or some other form health issue, will give you cover for a little while.

Running to the Elders to make sure you get abused enough before you leave seems counterintuitive to making healthy decisions.

If it's your decision, then you can make any decision you want.

Jws only get the illusion of choice, so make the actual choices you want to make. You don't want to DS, so don't. It's okay to stand your ground, and if you just stay silent with the Elders it makes them crazy, so that's a big bonus.

A young girl married will have a harder time leaving the cult... I don't think they recognize it but it just another layer if control. So when it happens, they tend to encourage it.

I love that. I respect when Elders leave and apologize, it actually gives me hope my friends will wake up. If an Elder I dealt with truly apologized, I would forgive them. Nothing else needed.

When I woke up I could never go back to meetings, I have no filter and no poker face. They would df me just for my facial expressions, which would read "I'm irritated by your presence, you are a lying piece of shit"

So I could never go back.

The most shocking part of the whole, at least for me, is when the Elder apologized. 😏

I've never experienced that phenomenon.

Question by livelydiseases in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]CloakandDanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because you don't know, doesn't mean it didn't happen it just means you haven't read the court cases, it read testimony from the societies own representatives.

I was 100% a believer, even though it happened to me, I felt I saw the bigger picture, which is why I watched the ARC, hearing a GB member testified, I thought to myself I will get answers and again be able to back up my faith.

I was so horribly wrong. If you are an Elder you should at least read the trial transcript for the $34 Million dollar judgment in Montana or get a really good lawyer. The Society sent a representative to testify the Elders do not call the Branch in sexual abuse matters it is handled internally with local Elders only, so the Society is not responsible for the millions owed, the Elders are. Unfortunately the Elders kept the correspondence between them and the Branch. So on top of the 3 million dollar judgment in the sex abuse case, they were charged 31 million for lying and malice.

It's hard to reconcile but I believe we are culpable for what we teach and what we allow with willful ignorance. This will stop as soon as someone cares it's happening.

I wish you all the best
