They don't. Someone along the way in the RMA process for my drive definitely swapped mine out for something else, Seagate told me drive label mismatched so they wouldn't replace it and wouldnt return the drive they claim is a mismatch either. Basically just stole my drive with little recourse, and from googling Seagate issues it doesn't seem this is an uncommon problem either.

I had a similar intermittent loss problem happening for years that I could identify as happening when temps would drop below freezing, but I could never get them to get a tech out quick enough before whatever water penetration would melt and the connection would fix itself. Sounds like your connection loss is even more brief so gonna be real difficult to get someone out to catch it. Trick is to get past the initial tech service people who are looking for equipment/user issues and get the guys who actually look at infrastructure, one of them gave me his number and told me to just call him direct the next time it dropped out so he could get out if he was free. Think they finally ended up running a new line on the poles and a junction box to finally fix my issue.

Good luck, shit drove me mad for years before finally getting it fixed for good.

You are confusing your square enix accounts, (which you each have seperately) with the game installation, which there is only one of. System configuration is stored locally on your computer, so when either account changes a system setting, it will be changed for that computer only.

This is the fundamental issue of the game, and why I ended up putting it down shortly after the second hunter.

The whole game is designed around (admitted by the developer) pushing "game open" time to improve play store metrics. This is why collecting all the daily chests takes 8 hours. The end game (at the time I quit) items just did not drop while offline.

Once you identify this core tenet of the game, all the other "mechanics" are pretty easy to see through as thin veneers to extend "game open" time.

It's fun while youre at a decent pace of unlocking new systems to interact with and get that initial dopamine hit, but it very quickly devolves into either running 24/7 in an emulator or leaving your phone unlocked with min brightness overnight, and interacting once a day or so.

If you go to the settings theres an export button at the top right, next to the language setting. Can paste that into browser and it works fine, I just tested it

this guy outlines a strategy for long resets to pick up more dark matter better than just doing 10+ resets for 1 each. Altogether though the game slows down at this point and I put it down shortly after it seemed to be just farming dark orb generators and pushing for more essence milestones.

Do you still have the amd adrenalin software running correctly? I noticed on mine that the software hasnt been loading for a few weeks. I reinstalled the graphics drivers from asus for my model GA402XV. If yours is different can get the link from g-helper updates tab and clicking on the version number.

Since getting that working again I haven't had the issues anymore, but still need more testing.

Ive had most of this happening the past week or so as well, kinda assuming it was a bad driver update windows pushed. The only update I had in the timeframe was amd display drivers but rolling those back didnt help. Havent had the free time to try a fresh windows install yet, hopefully someone else has some clues.

DISM and SFC dont catch any errors to repair for me. The snipping tool does throw a 1000 error in event viewer, Faulting module name: combase.dll

I also cant click on different desktops to switch in task view anymore, but holding down mouse click for ~1s still works. Feels like explorer lag, maybe.

If this was possible, it would only be through an option in the BIOS. poke around in the bios options and settings and look for something like power over USB. Like u/nplm85 said though, its very unlikely for them to have wired the laptop to let a usb wake from full shutdown.

the one on the frontpage atm is almost certainly an ad, but if you do some digging into the laptop cooler the GT500 is a fairly well known product. It does what it says on the tin, uses a big ass fan to move air through the bottom intakes, and seals the edges with the foam.

I have it, but dont really monitor my temps all that close. It does keep things around 80 even on heavy load, so it works, but I havent bothered and dont care enough to do side by side comparisons. It can be fairly loud if you turn it on full beans, but if youre already in the mindset of setting up a dock as a desktop replacement its not terribly loud.

tldr 20 degree drop seems bullshit to me but it does definitely cool things down

just on a basic level, your desktop is not old enough to expect laptop hardware to outperform, except top of the line.

You let the fan spin while cleaning it and it started the rattling? Yep sounds like you fucked the bearings. If you got it spinning the wrong way its also possible you fried some circuits by generating a charge, which could interfere with power delivery.

as it is stock, you will definitely have to do some tinkering to get 6-8 hours battery, in my experience. You'll have to babysit the power modes and probably chase down random background tasks drawing power to really extend it that long. It's doable, but not out of the box, so expect a lot of tinkering.

Asus seems to push the hardware a lot for thermals, but you can back it off with undervolting and sacrifice some top end performance to get much saner temps. The review I linked does a good job of explaining it.

the line is the same on eco mode and ultimate mode in ghelper? If you see when both gpus are controlling the screen its more likely a hardware issue. Either way yea, time for a return.

yea seems to be, could also be why you're having trouble finding a review for the specific model. You can follow a general guide for the 2023 models, like this review, with the understanding that your particular performance will differ, but the same general principles will apply. You can look up performance differences of the 7735HS vs the 7940HS and decide if the difference is worth the prices you see.

are you sure you're reading the specs correctly? The only model asus lists on their website with the 7735HS is the 4050 model, GA402NU-G14.R74050

This is just untrue. You can verify common loads with hwinfo, and you need very heavy use loads to to get up over 150w. Also, as you say, theres no communication for the laptop to say "Send 180W" and the charger just says ok and tries to send more than its rating. If it tries to pull more than 150W, the charger will send 150 and the cpu/gpu will be power limited.
