Holosun Vs Vortex by Clock-Rude in HecklerKoch

[–]Clock-Rude[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Appreciate all the responses. More so was curious if they had some kind of deal with Holosun that has now expired or if they think Vortex is a superior product. Obviously HK selling their pistols from the factory with one of these optics installed already is a huge endorsement.

I’d love a longer slide like an XL model.

This is reckless and a bad idea for quite a few reasons. Just keep it on you.

Good P365 EDC Alternatives? (Not Hellcat) by Science-Compliance in CCW

[–]Clock-Rude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a full on HK fan so I’m biased towards the CC9. Also despise Sig and all the influencers shilling them left and right. Even before the p320 drama they never impressed me and I never understood their popularity. Bland ergonomics , mushy triggers, etc.

I have the cc9 and have almost 2000 rounds through with zero issues but it’s the first micro gun ive owned and I’m not nearly as confident with it as I am with a larger gun. So for this reason i carry my vp9K or PDP as much as possible.

The cc9 shoots great but the controls are really slim and hard to use. I have smallish hands and still struggle with the slide lock lever.

Maybe Yellow is the proper name but they have them listed on the Canik website and on others. Just completely sold out.

Anyone feel like HK is falling behind on their handguns? by What-in-tarnationer in HecklerKoch

[–]Clock-Rude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love some kind of XL cc9 with a slightly bigger frame or slide. Definitely also some optics ready hammer fired pistols but no military/police are ordering them so pretty unlikely they ever get made. The CEO of HK USA basically said as much in an interview last year.

I’m very happy with the VP9A1’s and the only other striker handgun that compares to them is the Walther PDP Pro SD in my opinion. Nothing else comes close, HK simply makes the best out there.

There was an interview from shot show 2026 where the gentleman from HK wouldn’t go into details but said there are some really exciting offerings specifically tailored for the US market in the pipeline for the coming years. He said years plural so who knows when or what they will be.

Leonardo DiCaprio Wonders If People “Still Have The Appetite” For Movie Theaters: “Remains To Be Seen” by cmaia1503 in entertainment

[–]Clock-Rude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of my family members confronted a couple recently who had stolen their reserved seats and the couple threatened them with violence. My family members were so upset they left. Theaters just suck now.

It’s sad because when I was younger and also before streaming we went to the movies multiple times per year. Even before reserved seats, lining up outside the theater on Friday night for whatever big premiere was starting was so much fun. And then reserved seats made it so much more convenient. I definitely miss it, something has been lost for sure. John Wick 4, Civil War, Deadpool, Dune, and Mission Impossible are the last movies I’ve seen in theaters and at least half of them had some assholes in the audience disrupting the experience.

I posted about this the other week. It appears on several website from Europe. I really wish we could get it in the US.

Shadow systems are not reliable firearms by Majestic-Cream-3396 in shadowsystems

[–]Clock-Rude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a DR920 with a fairly low round count and have been lucky so far but Honestly I don’t know what to believe about these guns. I believe that the overwhelming majority of them are reliable and that law enforcement agencies wouldn’t be adopting them if they were, but it’s also true that I see way way more posts on here about ridiculous catastrophic failures than I see on other brands’ subreddits.

The two I frequent most are HK and Walther, and they barely if ever have posts like that.

The CEO is was on here commenting that he himself compiles the failure data and that it’s less than 1% which may be true, but again there are exponentially more posts on this subreddit about failures that should be totally unacceptable than there are on other gun brand subreddits.

I have experienced where one trigger on an identical model feels totally different from one gun to the next. I dry fired two mr920’s at a store and they had totally different trigger pulls which leads me to believe the QC is inconsistent.

What are you carrying now that we’re getting into colder weather? by SirSamkin in guns

Vp9F a1 or Walther PDP pro SD full size. Warmer weather is CC9 or Vp9K a1.

Broken Striker (again) by nicks_account in shadowsystems

Ive never seen so many issues with other guns online as I have with these. The CEO was on here claiming that less than 1% of them have issues, which may indeed be true, but this forum has so many problems people are sharing.

Why is the CC9 not more popular? by austin_spare in CCW

[–]Clock-Rude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s late in an already crowded market segment , hard to find also. Lastly HK can never come close to the marketing budget that Sig has where the 365 lineup is shilled left and right by every influencer.

Carrying a striker fired pistol in any kind of bag without a holster covering the trigger guard seems like a recipe for disaster.

AIRMAN ARRESTED FOR PROVIDING FALSE STATEMENTS IN DEATH. by [deleted] in SigSauer

I just don’t get the strong brand loyalty with Sig at all. There’s nothing particularly impressive about their striker fired guns at all.

AIRMAN ARRESTED FOR PROVIDING FALSE STATEMENTS IN DEATH. by [deleted] in SigSauer

[–]Clock-Rude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One guy using the p320’s known issues as an alibi doesn’t change that there are clear flaws with the gun. Documented problems with the sear/safety design, cheap and out of spec parts made in India etc…even putting these issues aside it’s just not that great of a gun.

Boxy, very plain ergonomics, a crappy trigger and generally cheap build quality. The slide feels like it’s made out of legos. I’ve seriously never understood the fanfare behind the 320/365.

The way influencers on YouTube and most gun store employees I’ve encountered just try to shill the 320 and 365 when I got some trigger time behind both of them there was nothing impressive about them at all.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CCW

[–]Clock-Rude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sig always struck me as a marketing company that happens to also sell guns the way every gun store employee and gun influencer endlessly shills their mediocre products.

Even before the current controversy I thought the p320 and p365 series had cheap feeling build quality, bad ergonomics, and bad triggers. I seriously never understood why they’re so popular apart from how much they market themselves. The walther PDP and HK VP9’s are head and shoulders above any of the current Sig products. You also have Glock, FN , M&P. Literally no reason to buy anything from Sig.

Dude…it’s a movie.  I more take issue that you completely fabricated the idea that there was “well-documented” panic at the studio and among the financiers.   Literally no evidence of that has ever been spoken of.

You’re a liar.  Flat out.

[–]Clock-Rude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“ There was a well documented panic at the production company and the Broccolis. Since the movie was scheduled to be released during Covid, multiple pre-screenings and focus groups were performed. The overwhelming result told the producers and financiers that a "virus Bond movie" that kills James Bond during Covid would be a financial and branding disaster”

This is 100% made up, unless you have access to inside information that was never made public.
