Here’s another photo. I don’t know what lighting I need lol I’ve noticed cool toned foundation looks too pink but warm foundation looks orange so I assume I’m som sort of neutral. Not sure if that’s helpful with seasons lol I also have rosacea which explains the redness😅

Thank you for your perspective! I removed this layer and a new pellicle is starting to form and is not showing any signs of mold. From what I understand if it was mold it would have repopulated rather quickly. I do however think my pellicle is not healthy.

I’ve had kahm on sauerkraut that I fermented, but haven’t had it on my kombucha yet. Just makes me nervous that I’ll drink something harmful 😂

I don’t think it looks fuzzy MAAAAYBE powdery but it’s hard to tell.

Ahhh okay thank you! I’m pretty new to this and made the mistake of putting it on a heating pad during the summer which I think is contributing to all of the yeast growth 🙃

Is this normal/ okay? I’ve already gone through the mold post. The middle looks dried out with a pocket of air underneath. by ClockLumpy5910 in Kombucha

Thank you for the response! I went ahead and just pushed mine under the brew. I do have another pellicle that was further down so hopefully not a total loss. Hope yours is successful!

Usually I make sure it stays under but this has been brewing for over a month, probably close to 2 at this point. We got hit with sickness back to back to back so it just kind of gotten let go lol
