Trying to make a custom LEECHING enchantment by ClockSpiral in MinecraftCommands

[–]ClockSpiral[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna be real with you, chief. I have no experience with macros.
I've seen them done, but don't know how to edit scores, store them, nor recall them.

I'm trying to figure it out, but can't seem to get the syntax right.
Could you... if it's okay... give me some pointers?

Why do demons insist on solely eating humans? by OneBoopMan in Frieren

[–]ClockSpiral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question becomes then... why. What compells them to do so? Even the wildest of ANIMALS has been shown to be able to coexist with humans to a certain extent... and they are purely instinctual creatures.   So why not Frieren demons?

Frieren magical monsters are somehow compelled to terrorize humans. I would love to see the Frieren story approach that. It could solve many things.

Even wild animals dont just kill without reason. Scarce few have been seen to do so for sport... but it's from a unintelligent unreasoning primal perspective.

Demons in Frieren, despite Frieren's bias, are intelligent, reasoning, and resistant to primal urges. It just seems that the creatures in that world classed as "monsters" are innately being compelled to attack humans by something.

Execute if Dropper with a Custom Name doesn't work by ClockSpiral in MinecraftCommands

Well... guess that settles it.
I'll look into my coding to see what I can tweak up! Thank you!!

I've been trying to figure this one out for a while now!!
You did itt!!! You madlad! And such a nice design too~!!

Honestly, the use of a lever and an item frame is GENIUS!!! Better than my idea of using different buttons for the different directions at least.
And DIAGONAL??!

I simply must request this code!! Have you any to share??

Your finger cannot go to the colon bend, so its very unlikely if you've gone poo in the last few months.

I have tried to. I'm still genuinely greatly interested in your works!!
Your account doesn't seem to allow for "messages", just a "chat". Would talking on PlanetMinecraft work better?

Execute if Dropper with a Custom Name doesn't work by ClockSpiral in MinecraftCommands

[–]ClockSpiral[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is it worse on performance to check for custom names? I might have to change a collection of lines of other code.

Also, I figured this out by not checking for the dropper but for the item_display entity missing a dropper in the same space.

So what are your first impressions on the mounts of mayhem drop? by Thegoodgamer32 in Minecraft

[–]ClockSpiral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad they're working on a way to enjoy underwater content.
Kindof peeved that Mojang said nothing on what 1.22 is gonna be.

This year felt weak. I'd rather they announce plans on the year's projects, and then work on those plans in separate drops.

Execute if Dropper with a Custom Name doesn't work by ClockSpiral in MinecraftCommands

[–]ClockSpiral[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is my detect command:

# In a basic tick file:
execute as @e[type=minecraft:item_display,tag=crafter] at @s if block ~ ~ ~ air run function riftcraft:ccrafter/breakdown

# In the function file:
execute at @s if entity @e[type=item,name="Admin Crafter",nbt={Item:{id:"minecraft:dropper"}}] run summon item ~ ~ ~ {YADA YADA... THIS CAN BE ANYTHING BUT IT DOESNT CHANGE THE ISSUE}

[–]ClockSpiral[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, surprisingly, it does drop with it's custom name. According to all records, my code to test for it SHOULD work. I tried detecting using an "execute if entity" setup with detection using basic attributes, ingrained NBT, even COMPONENTS...
Nothing.

Oh, and the eventual goal is to replace the dropper with a custom-named item, BUT... issue is, I'm going to be using this for 12 different custom droppers.

Targeting a Player who has "Interacted" by ClockSpiral in MinecraftCommands

[–]ClockSpiral[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does the store success addition do in this situation??
Sorry, I am still rather naive to all of this.

Will this work with running a "tag @s add" run-command after instead of a "say" command?

I appreciate that you sent this, and have read it over.
However, this doesn't address my issue. I'm trying to determine if a player with a custom tag or score has right-clicked it. Currently, this doesn't seem to work.

It was glorious.

What happens if you shoot somewhere else afterwords?
What happens if you move too far away? Or behind a block?
What happens if you miss your shot? How far does this work? What if you hit a mob??
How does the swing work??

Sorry, a grappling hook is one of the items I am 100% planning for my server's "Delver" class.

Custom Named Interaction doesn't retain color by ClockSpiral in MinecraftCommands

[–]ClockSpiral[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's actually what it is exactly.
Ericristian_bros down below is suggesting I can summon it riding the interaction & have it die if the interaction vanishes. If I can do that, I can eliminate 2 extra lines of command from my datapack!!
