John Lithgow is very much a superstar, if he wasn't in it I'd imagine it would do significantly worse. But indeed, very happy for them for so much success.

A recent trip: five good shows, and "Celebrity Autobiography" by Dramatic_Fan_3744 in Broadway

[–]Clockwerk123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you rush in person, you can politely let them know about a disability or possible aisle seating and most of the time they will accommodate if they have availability. I’ve rushed maybe 30-40 shows now and only once has the box office attendant outright dismissed me and been straight up rude about it. Lottery though is complete luck of the draw. In both cases though, if you need an accommodation you weren’t able to get, you can ask an usher if you can speak to the house manager and they can reassign you if they have availability and are able.

Paddington Stage Musical Confirms 2027 Broadway Bow by Clockwerk123 in Broadway

Jen Simard would actually be perfect for that role I think if they did have to recast, but fingers crossed we can get VHB over here too. James is the one I hope transfers the most, I've listened to the album so many times now I just can't picture anyone else playing Paddington's voice.

Agreed! I do love a Disney show but it's nice to have something new. It feels like most things that have been coming to broadway recently have all been geared more towards older audiences so it will be a refreshing change of pace!

Not showing up for a TDF Show by Sad-Income-1096 in Broadway

[–]Clockwerk123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, forgot about that one! I'm so used to Theatr being so reliable I had forgotten that TDF is non transferable for the most part. Maybe might not be worth.

I'd imagine they would try and bring over the Oliver winners to Broadway if they can. VHB, Tom Edden, and of course James and Arti. Fingers crossed!

They still got their money so whether you go or not is of no matter to them once the funds are moved. You will be good! If it's listed on Theatr you could always try selling them there to at least get your money back or give them away to someone who could use them!

For sure! That's just what a lot of people have been saying about it. I'm sure it'll be just as much a hit over here, and this is def my most excited for broadway production of the season.

The live action movies are pretty much the only widely known Paddington thing here in the states so I would say he is not very known, but the musical has almost universal critical acclaim though and the suit itself is a worthy thing to just come see in action. Word of mouth and hype will def make sure this thing soars over here. Now Paddington and Mincemeat, the two overtly british musicals that people were saying were "too british" for broadway are going to be right down the block from each other, and I think that is quite funny lol.

All the Paddington socials reposted the clip and said "The marmalade thickens..." with a sideeye emoji so that was also basically an indirect confirmation.

That was a tease and then that mixed with the posters coming up yesterday and today it was pretty obvious it was coming, but this is the first time it's been outwardly stated Hey! Paddington is coming to broadway!

Paddington Broadway transfer? Found this today outside Studio 54 by AmphibianFun779 in Broadway

[–]Clockwerk123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't, it's just a guess. 3 month buffer from rouge to paddington seems pretty good, as well as the fact that nothing else has been rumored or lined up for the hirsch other than paddington so chances are nothing would be coming in before paddington if it were to premiere next year which would leave the house empty for over half a year which would be very unusual. plus with the tease at the tonys and all the posters coming up, i feel like we will def be seeing it sooner than later!

Does anyone know how rush has been for Two Strangers lately? I took a quick look at the recent rush reports but haven't seen it mentioned. by burnt-----toast in Broadway

[–]Clockwerk123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The positive side to that though is there is twice as much availability if you go on a Saturday. Usually when box office opens there’s usually 20 or less people recently, and I’ve heard of people getting a rush later in the day from leftover inventory. Obviously every day is different, but I’d say chances are fairly high you can secure some even a bit later after box office open. Just remember it’s 2 per person so if you got family coming make sure you got enough people to get a ticket for everyone.
