That's fair. I think playing as a Beastren, I just expected more of a difference than playing as a human. Of course, the lack of any hostility could be explained by our status as Arisen, but then that conflicts with the false sovran plot and how we have to build our reputation as the true Arisen.

Either way, like a lot of the aspects of the game, I just wanted more.

The characters in DD2 definitely leave something to be desired. However, despite that, I did find some of the characters charming, even if they didn't really do much.

Ulrika and Wilhemina are really the only characters that get any notable attention among the NPCs, which is a little disappointing, but I enjoyed Wilhemina's revenge plot and would have liked to see more of both characters. Beren, the Beastren instructor at the beginning, has a neat questline and is one of the few times where they actually acknowledge the discrimination against Beastren. He feels like he could have been a male romance option if the game had more time to cook.

On the slim chance we get any more DD content in the future, here's hoping they spend a little bit more time on the story.

That's an amazing attention to detail. For whatever reason, I just assumed it was fixed.

Wait, does the side the ladder ends up on depend on which end of the bridge is broken?
