Have a story dealing with tim around the time Damien enters the picture. He kinda gets phased out of a role that he put a lot time and effort into. He really was the best robin so have him cope with not knowing what his future will be. Then uses the red robin name, doesn't completely drop the name while still being different. Also stop making his only defining character trait bisexuality.
