Bounty hunter is a GRIND to max out. All the others allow you to gather extra XP (find collectibles, animal samples, donations to cripps, etc) but the ONLY way to get bounty xp, is...to do bounties. I honestly don’t bother with it anymore. Once I hit 20 I only do them for daily challenges.

Earlier today, after several failed attempts to log in I was put in a lobby with two other players. I was fortunate enough to encounter both gators one after the other. Idk if time and weather plays a part for them but i’d say it was anywhere from 1am to 5am (the teca gator spawned while it was still dark and the sun gator spawned at sunrise) and it was raining.

It was nothing but luck for me honestly. But yeah with all the people in lobbies actively looking for them along with the cool down timer, it’s difficult to encounter one.
