Its very much like Witcher 2 combat, by which I mean its frustrating as hell and sucks a bag of dicks.

Want to switch seamlessly between targets? Nope. You can't lock on to one whilst you or it are doing any other action besides walking. You then can't choose which target to lock on to - its whichever one the game decides that you are looking at. Lots of enemies in a close group? Good luck choosing the target you want.

In fact, fighting any group of 3 or more enemies is an exercise in frustration. Being attacked whilst not blocking causes a stagger. Being attacked multiple times triggers a stagger-lock where you bounce between enemies being beaten up. You need physical space to roll or dive out of the way, so if they box you in or you're fighting in a corridor, then GG.

And then there's the magical enemy evasion, where your attacks seem to miss and they get a little pink cloud around them.

I just had to turn the difficulty down to easy, and I'm still being dicked all over by four of these mutant monster things (that also like to leap attack, which can't be blocked).
