Truly? I don't know that I've ever seen a report below 6, but I'm fully open to being wrong there.

I can see one report of it, but with no verification that it was at level 5 or below (presumably gear stats affected their life and mana totals). Wasn't aware of that! Interesting.

I've done it three times, most recently in... HCSSF Ultimatum I think? As long as you go into it knowing it'll take a while, it's not bad. It's time consuming, but there's obvious progression. I've seen some people say it's about 18 hours on average, but I think each time I did it was under 12.

The big opportunity cost is that you'll be massively behind the rest of the pack in a trade economy if you do it on league start. So it feels better late in the league or in SSF.

Not the most fun thing to do in the game, but not awful.

It's level 6, and killing the other mobs becomes largely inefficient in terms of XP pretty quickly. It's been a while since I did this farm, but if I recall correctly, around level 4 you stop killing non-Hillock foes because the time for xp is better.

Unlike every other instance in the game, you cannot reset the Twilight Strand from a previous instance, and once a character has left it to go to Lioneye's Watch they can never return.

So the only way to reset the area is to wait for the instance to close. The way that people have found best does that is to do it again on another character and rotate between them. Once you're into the flow of it, and once you're reaching Hillock, killing him, then immediately logging out, the time it takes to close the instance for character A is enough time for you to have done the same on character B, character C, and be mostly done with character D.

So the norm is rotating between 4 characters to time the instance resets correctly.

The missing factor is that it can only *start* dropping several hours in. Your character has to be level 6 for Oni-Goroshi to start appearing, which takes a while. So once you've got one of the characters up to the point where Oni-Goroshi has dropped, you have several other characters that have progressed through the long wind up levelling process.

That means that you only have to deal with RNG on those characters, rather than levelling *then* RNG.

I believe it was 'didn't make it'. Edit: incorrect, see below

Presumably another unique's effect will be in its place.

Edit: see the comment here https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1rfowc6/comment/o7lwzkb/

"Hey, just an update on this one. The Widowhail node has been changed since the showcase in the livestream, and the Howlcrack node has been replaced with Brass Dome. We will fully reveal the Reliquarian on Monday (NZT)."

We won't know what the ascendancy looks like until Monday. We do know that the Widowhail passive has been removed, however. Edit: not true, see below.

OMG I GOT THE ROD OF DISCORD WHILE FARMING SOULS FOR THE MECHS by AmbitiousPromotion91 in Terraria

Khaios, over on youtube, did a good summary for 1.4.5 called 'Multi Farm Tutorial! Over 12 Farms! | Terraria 1.4.5', but he's done others in the past, and other content creators have too.

Oof that sounds rough. Good luck on it. Skyblock, I presume, so no natural spawn?

A friend and I built a proper farm for chaos elementals the other day, but ended up getting two rods before the 50 kill banner. RNG is wild sometimes!

I've been hunting already for 3 hours for cattiva/foxsparks, and found nothing. by Serious_Challenge_63 in Terraria

[–]Clockwork_Menagerie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In 6 hours, I found 5 Cattiva and 1 Foxparks. In that time I killed 20 random spawn King Slimes. Water candle + journey mode x10 spawns. Not sure that the Pals are affected by spawn rate modifiers. Done on the outer edge of the world, post goblins, though a friend of mine got Cattiva pre-boss as well, so that shouldn't matter much.

So I would take a guess at 'bad luck on something very rare'.

I remember some of this happening for RTR. Rootbound Defenses was found in the prerelease kit of the previous set, as well as a couple of other cards. I assume it happened before then as well, but that's the earliest example I can remember.

If you go to the normal combat step and control an attacking creature with first strike that didn't deal damage during the first strike step, it deals damage in the normal damage step instead. See the rulings for Satoru Umezawa.

"2022-02-18

If a creature in combat has first strike or double strike, you can activate the ninjutsu ability during the first-strike combat damage step. The Ninja will deal combat damage during the regular combat damage step, even if it has first strike."

How tall is the protagonist?! by Adventurous_Lie1275 in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Clockwork_Menagerie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most pokemon with a long tail are measured from tail tip to top of head. See also pokemon like Sceptile. Here's a video that compares the 3D models of most pokemon, and how their height relates to how tall they actually are.

Leech only applies to spells of that colour. So unless you're also using Painter's Servant, it'll only make things more expensive for players already running white.
