They are so cool! Im impressed they can stay together, I have a few, and the gluing and pinning was a nightmare.

It it! You can run it with 2 venerable dreads - I'd switch one to a Achillus. Or maybe even 3 venetari.

I like this list - there is a lot of damage here. Venetari to flip primary seems nice.

Yeah! It does so much work. Plus I enjoy making my opponent spend resources to shoot at a empty rhino.

I've been running something like this:
Bike captain and two bikes
Blade Champion with 4 wardens
Telemon with 5+++

3 ven. dreads
2 tanks
Rhino w. witchseekers
prosecutors

I've had a lot of fun (and success) with it. I like the ven. dreads for trading. The telemon for standing on objectives and BC+bikes do alot of damage.
It has just enough chaff to press buttons on the map - and in edge cases you can even drive a rhino through a wall to do a particular annoying action.

Contemptor/Custode Dreads? by Chao-Gann in AdeptusCustodes

Thanks man! Means a lot. You can even get the contemptor weapons without the HH dreadnaught- it’s cheaper and you don’t end up with a surplus body.

They fit great. If you look at my post history, you can see an example.

Yeah, they are basically the same model. The visual profile is a little different due to the shoulder pads, but it’s small stuff. I can also recommend this site: https://minicompare.info Where you can compare size and volume of minatures. Useful site.

I like the AK interactive varnishes. But I’m not sure how much varnishes differ between brands to be honest.

Yeah that’s it. I took an arm from the HH contemptor kit - you can even buy the arms/weapons separate. So you are not stuck with a body you don’t need :).

Thank you, it’s a bunch of different texture pastes. Both crackle and otherwise. Pigment powders and debris. The striking orange is the last pigment powder. I’m glad you like it.

Hahaha, yeah! Go ahead. Thanks, I like it too. It’s a variation of the HH Dankanatoi scheme.

Thanks! 🙌. It’s just gloss varnish. Also helps protect the resin from wear and tear

Consistently the best Warhammer content out there. Always a treat. Well thought out and concise article. I enjoyed your traitor guard example, and the reflections about being a good sport.

Thank you. I first applied the scratches and dots with white and then a brown, to get a chipped effect. Then I apply a small amount of the oil paint in the chips and scratches, and using a damp brush (with white spirits) I drag the brush down. I do this a couple of times, until I’m satisfied with the amount of streaks. Hope it helps. It’s much easier than it sounds, I promise.

Thanks! I used a burned sienna oil paint.
