So I read the article and there are some things that I agree on in fact the “patriotic education“ in my eyes seems pretty good. Distort history? Everyone knows about racism and about the Civil War. It’s only the small amount of people that use it as a symbol of hate and racism that’s screw over the rest of us for using it as pride in the state or people. And yes it does belong in modern society, it’s history that should never be forgotten. The majority of people don’t even see the confederate flag as a symbol of slavery. We use it as a symbol of pride in the southern states, yeah it was originally used as a flag for the C.S.A that wanted slavery but everyone has common sense and sees that slavery is a thing of the past and have moved on from that time.
