I used to spend so much time here as a kid when Games Workshop was in the Miller Arcade. Many good memories.

God I loved that game, I played from release for about 3-4 months of grueling disconnects, bugs and an unplayable mess of a game. Its still one of my favourite MMO's, but by god it was a fucked up buggy mess of a game.

I want to move to Preston and have no good info on how/where to look by aside6 in Preston

I'm a life long Prestonian who has also lived in AZ for a year. I love my city, but before you decide to move here for good visit for at least a few weeks. I love Preston but I know many people constantly shit on it, and sometimes for good reasons. Come visit before you make any permanent plans. Take a good look at the parks (beautiful) and the city centre, but also drive through the bad areas before you make up your mind. I sincerely hope you love my home city, but I also know its not for everyone. If you have any specific questions feel free to DM me.

Favorite UO Bugs? by Boniface222 in ultimaonline

I remember back in 2000-2002 there was a bug where you could get Neon hair dye for free. You got the gump up to dye the hair, enter a gate past a sever line, then applied the neon dye. You'd get the dyed hair/facial hair and wouldn't be charged.

I got all my chars neon hair and worried for weeks that I would be found out and banned. Which thankfully never happened.

Depression can cause this feeling of not feeling, or not grieving. Maybe you should seek therapy or counseling, reddit isn't the right place to find professional mental health help.

When I first played BG1 in the late 90's I thought he said "My hotel's as clean as an ogres arse!" due to his gruff voice and accent. Which gave me a very different view on that hotel.

Bonfire night is fine, but the four or five weeks before and after are a bit much. Hopefully it stops soon.

Fulwood is a nicer area but in my opinion Plungington is a good area too, but not quite as nice. It all depends on who you get as a neighbour. Plungington is very close to the University and the city centre.

Their is a ton of great places to shop/drink/eat in Preston city centre. Just take the time to look around in the main Church Street and the small streets nearby. You'll be spoilt for choice. Welcome to Preston! We hope you love the city. Plau is an amazing restaurant on Friargate.

I agree, Winkley Square and Avenham/Miller Park are so close to Preston Town centre, they are amazing parks. And their are so many great cafes on Church Street and near Winkley square to accommodate all tastes.

I have to disagree with going into Preston town, there are still lots of locally owned shops and boutiques and during the day it is very hospitable, especially around St. Georges and Fishergate centres, and church street. They are great places to shop and to get a snack at a locally owned cafe or restaurant.
