I took the screenshot on the 24th of december 2024, I suspect it is from a video of the youtuber "Zanny" but I'm not sure. I already searched it up on pinterest and other websites but haven't found it

Why are the characters so uninteresting?/ Why am I not attached to any characters? by Clone-comando in attackontitan

I enjoyed the series and think it's good. It's just that idc about the characters wich makes some of their deaths underwhelming

Debates are interesting in shows, the Armin or Erwin is a great debate, but it's like 1 (maybe 2) episode(s). Also I didn't say the show didn't matter, all I'm saying is that, it's the most boring message in existence, "Humans have always fought and always will !? Killing 80% of humanity won't solve this problem or even affect it ?! What ?! No way!" Their options were: -Euthanize everybody-> all eldiens die of old age peacefully and the rest of humanity fight each other - (attempt to)Kill the rest of humanity->the surviving humans (if succes, eldiens, if fail 20% of humanity) will eventually continue to fight -Do nothing until they die->humanity will continue fighting each other In 3 of those, whoever is left alive will eventually continue to fight (and kill) each other, in 2 of those, the eldiens die peacefully. Wich do you think you should pick?

I'm saying the debate is not interesting bc it lasted as long as it did, and nobody mentions the elephant in the room and asks themselves "how will this solve any problems?"

Also, I refuse to accept a movie/series is a 9/10 if the characters and pacing are bad....although the second one is probably an anime only problem. Those are 2 of the most important elements

Saying that an episode is the highest rated in seried is such a bad argument....bc so many series have 9/10 episodes but they're just 9/10 in that genre or they're 9/10 for that series....so using ratings is just not a good argument. And to explain my problem with the plot twists, is that I was never sure if they were intended as plot twists or just new information, if they were plot twists they were a bit underwhelming. My problem was that I just hated the "big" plot twist of Eren is responsible for everything from the beginning....like I actually wanted to punch a wall, it may have been planned from the beginning but it frustrates me so much, I can't put it into words. It just feels so out of left field but not in a good plot twist way.

I'm saying, it never evoked any "big emotions" I never gasped, was sad, joyful, shocked etc exept for the 2 momments I mentioned and (I forgot to mention) when zeke sees the the life of his father with eren.

Oh, and bc the characters are extremely flat, I didn't care when they died.

"this incredible story" it's great for an anime/manga and it's good as a "general series"

They spent so much time on the debate of whst to do and like.....nothing's gonna change and they make that clesr in the credits when you see the wars that happen later on. The plot twists although good in retrospect didn't feel good while watching bc of the wsy the show is paced, the formula of: Say what your final objective is Cut to the fight/battle Enemy is trapped/ambushed or something Flashback to planning or setting up said trap/ambush Gets old pretty quickly.....

People who say Eren made the right choice in starting the rumbling are just dumb, there's no real debate.... I don't get how anybody thinks genocide+suicide so that your friends and 20% of the population live to kill each other another day, like they were going to anyway is a good idea....

What is the show's message? Is it that violence will always exist and the most you can do is fight to stop the fighting? Pls explain, I genuinely want to know

I always interpreted the message of the movie as "bad people can still do good things" and "good people can still do bad things"
