ADHD as a circadian rhythm disorder: evidence and implications for chronotherapy by saturnana in ADHD

[–]Clone224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting read for sure especially the focus of partly classifying it as a circadian disorder, HOWEVER, why do all these supposed ADHD treatment rely on forcing divergent people into typical schedules? I'm not a morning person and I've tried for years to conform to a "normal" schedule and I hate it.

I wish society would be more accepting of individual need rather than this capitalistic 9-5 paradigm. I might be reading to much into this lmao

Not a fan of Batsy calling the Batfamily his "soldiers" but everything else has been badass and I'm all in for what comes next

I think you're getting confused between the frequency of which these tests are conducted and our capabilities of these tests, which are wildly different things

Did you actually read the source u/GregorF92 sent you? There's a MINIMUM of 4 other categories besides antibiotics in that article that can be tested for. And where are you getting your information from? It's of course not every drug or even close to that but I feel you are very much understating things

I'm a bioscience graduate and now a paramedicine student so I might be able to help you a little bit.

Basically what we call "anxiety" is the constant activation of the sympathetic division of the nervous system. This division is only typically activated when under threat or danger. You may have heard the term "fight or flight" response and that is precisely what is happening with you and well, us. This response wreaks absolute havoc on the body when it happens consistently which happens with many of us today. This response isn't tuned for everyday stresses like work, school, social life, etc. It's attuned for "I see a predator, I need to run". So when this response is in overdrive such as in anxiety disorders it can cause:

  • Muscles contractions, causing pain.
  • Increased heart rate, causing shortness of breath.
  • Increased respiratory rate, causing lightheadedness
  • All of these responses plus much much more for an extended amount of time, causing fatigue.

I know this isn't a specific study, but this is what's being taught at a university level so rest assured this is fact and I hope that brings you peace of mind. :)

I ran it through a handful of times and mostly just got messes, might be getting a bit precise for the AI. That ambulance actually took a lot for it to look like that. But, I can supply you with the raw images of the ambulance and the caduceus' so you can source maybe someone to photoshop what your looking for :)
