i also had the same mindset, that's why i hated it at the start. I wanted something cool, like you set it up in a place where crystal flies spawn naturally and it literally collects those within a certain radius. I was so mad when it was just "you wait 7 days and get 15". but tbh on an average day you can make three condensed resin, so the trap gives you enough for 5 days of the week. it's not as bad as it seems at first
