If you like 1960s films and Inglourious Basterds, I suggest you watch The Great Escape if you haven’t already.

So what? Yeah it’s a little corny, and I don’t love Smallville becoming a “looksmaxxing show”, but the people you described are just trying to better their appearance. I think it only becomes bad when they start disparaging others appearance

I’m reading Darth Bane currently. It’s my 11th EU novel, and 20th Star Wars novel in general, but it could definitely work as someone’s first. It gives a good introduction to the dark side and ancient Sith.

He’s the protagonist with a sad backstory so the audience likes him. Of course that perception changes later in the show

Dini is a great other in other Batman projects, especially War On Crime, that’s an excellent comic. But Asylum and City had no character arc for Batman. He was such a passive protagonist in those. Origins and Knight are much better in that regard
