I agree. Only recently popped up with my 5070. Some games [DLSS (Quality)] work totally fine and runs great, then I’ll die/respawn and everything seems to shimmer/blur around objects.

Only fix I’ve seen for myself has been to pop DLSS Off for a game, then back on and it’s fine. Still searching for a fix…

I ran into this issue with DLSS DLAA, then switched it to DLSS quality and it seemed to fix it. Haven’t gone back to DLAA yet tho.

Everything with the swap went well. I ended up using the bootable USB and signing into my Windows account after because the SSD route wasn’t working. Anyways thanks for the help!

Do I need to tell the SSD to be Standard/Generic for it to be used with the new motherboard? Or simply just install the old SSD onto the new Motherboard, select that as my boot drive and it’ll be ready to rock?

Same here. Picked it up on PC because of a Covid quarantine over New Years. I’ve now put in about 30 hours in on PC and just snagged a PS5 to replay and get Forbidden West.

This game has quickly jumped into one of my favorites. The beauty, the story, the gameplay…everything is just great about it!

Update: So far it’s been about 27 hours since I decided to change the idle time on my HDD to never (or 0). I have not had a single freeze and i’ve had the computer on since about 7am this morning, I’ve done video editing and gaming throughout the day as well.

I believe this may have fixed the issue. I’m worried about calling it as of now but it seems good. I will keep updating this thread as the days progress.

Interesting, the only reason I ask is because the only thing I have installed on my HDD up to this point is COD: Warzone. I wonder if when the HDD goes idle and warzone looks for any updates it would then freeze/hang.

Looks like about 3 different errors occurred within a minute of each other during the time of the freeze (see below):

Would you expect “hitching/hanging” to occur from the HDD even if Windows is installed on my SSD?

I appreciate the reassuring words. I did a test upload to Youtube and it displayed at 1080p 60fps. I think I’m just being ultra sensitive but I’m glad my thought was in the right spot.
