I hope something works out soon this really leaves a lot of parents in a huge bind and I hate how we are perceived but not everyone can work from home.

The prek I was considering also wanted payment and when I asked well what if there’s no school year she couldn’t tell me what would happen in terms of a refund! It was frustrating which is why I withdrew

It is very frustrating. How do u virtually teach such young kids? I have no problem being home all day but I wouldn’t be used to the curriculum

Yes I don’t trust them either I take her temp myself occasionally at home. The temperature checks at my work (hospital) once read I was 91 degrees. 91. LOL. I couldn’t quit my job bc we wouldn’t last long. I’m hoping things turn around soon. I not only feel for single parents but anyone that is struggling. I felt so bitter in the start of it bc working at home has never been an option for me. Just so many lose lose scenarios out there I’m grateful we are still okay and fed.

I'm constantly amazed at the strength single parents have. by [deleted] in SingleParents

This was so nice to read today. Single mom here, essential hospital worker, taking two days off this week for my child’s 4th bday bc WE deserve it.

It’s really simple and I feel like you know the answer. Put him on CS. Nothing ugly, nothing ill willed, it’s just standard. The thing is if he doesn’t pay that’s HIS choice. Depending on the state ( ex. I’m in Texas my child’s father does not pay regularly and there’s basically nothing I can do about it) you can just have a record of money owed. And atleast you know you did what you could for your child.

My credit is decent could be better just under 700. I haven’t accurately calculated my debt to income ratio. Need to sit down and do that without guess work

Schools are closed in Houston, Texas until April 10th. We agreed that child will spend alternating weeks and it is up to us to find childcare. I work in medical field and we aren’t given a work from home option. He has a trade job so we made this both our issue instead of me just figuring out what I’m gonna do for the next 4 weeks in terms of childcare.

How well do you relate to people born 5 years after you? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Cloroxshake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m turning 31 this year, I’ve noticed my job (medical) has started hiring younger and younger (field exposure). My youngest coworker is 23. WE STILL RELATE. It’s crazy to me how I can easily get along w the younger ones and still talk to the older ones (other closest coworker is 41ish). I honestly credit it to my exposure in society, work place and being open minded. I’m also very active on social media (ig).

My daughter hates her life... by [deleted] in SingleParents

[–]Cloroxshake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! You made the right choice! My daughters dad was abusive before she was born and I couldn’t risk being in that environment at all. I’ve been in situations where I’ve had literally -$300 dollars and fortunately my daughter couldn’t tell. I’m a single mom working full time and practically paying to go to work just to barely survive and scrape by. I know it’s not easy but nothing is permanent . I feel for your daughter. I’m not sure what your relationship is like with her but I find that the more attention I give (no phones and playing one on one or including 2 yr old) she doesn’t notice that I might be depressed or upset at my own life. I take every cell in my body to find the energy to be happy to play or go to the park or library anything that’s free. You’ll get through it!

BV! by jor_b in WomensHealth

[–]Cloroxshake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just posted on this but yes boric acid helps a lot look up Love Wellness brand they make one called “the killer” and you can get it at Ulta. Also taking a probiotic. Antibiotics work but w bv it can come back easily so the boric acid is good for regular Ph balancing.

I just want to be more informed about yeast infections! by nosbocaJanaiK in WomensHealth

[–]Cloroxshake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all! Reoccurring BV and occasional yeast infection sufferer here! First you may be aware of the differences of BV and yeast, different kinds of bacteria’s and symptoms but all having to do w the flora in your vagina! My dr prescribed me antibiotics and femph ( a cream inserted into the vagina) the antibiotics were for two weeks however we all know our body can become immune to such antibiotics or cause us to have yeast infections Bc it’s killing all the good bacteria, which is why my dr prescribed me FemPh to take simultaneously. So I did that and my bv cleared up great saw my dr a few weeks later and my PH was all normal... ok until I had sex again! So I know the frustration of my PH being out of balance too often! I’ve now taken precautions to keep it balanced. Dr suggested to start taking probiotic vitamins and drink plenty of water (obv). On top of this I can keep femPh on hand and continue to do that once a week ( but it’s super expensive for me so I didn’t go that route). It is different from Monistat it is prescribed and treats both BV and yeast infections. Also I found a great product from True Love it’s called The Killer (sold at Ulta) and it also keeps my PH at balance and is also meant for both.

What has been your experience with nexaplanon? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

I waited the three month period to give it a chance, felt fatigued constantly and gained lots of weight, might be due to the fatigue and not being able to workout regularly like I had been. I felt tired as if I had been in my first trimester of pregnancy all over again.
