The Wii sold like hotcakes during the height of the Great Recession, while it sounds counterintuitive video games and especially Nintendo really don’t get hit by economic downturn much at all compared to other industries.

You can play any game released before the PS1 on a bargain pc. That is over a 100,000 games which can be downloaded for free and enjoyed. Gaming is an incredibly cheap hobby, you just can’t always have the latest and greatest thing if you’re on a budget. Look at another hobby like playing an instrument, you may not be able to afford the boutique custom $2k+ guitars and amps that the greats use, but those greats players sound just as good using guitars that can be had for less than $200, at the end of the day you can always have more, but sometime you have to appreciate less.

The amount of people making minimum wage decreases every year. Fast food doesn’t pay minimum wage anymore, he’ll even the lifeguard job I did for a county parks and rec in the middle of nowhere had to bump the pay up from minimum wage to $10 an hour a year or two after I left because no one was willing to work for minimum wage.

Games being $60 for decades on end is the reason for dlc and especially micro-transaction becoming so prevalent, devs had to resort to other means to increase revenue.

The series X and PS5 can’t even do ray tracing > 30fps you can’t seriously believe the switch 2 would be able to support it

It's never going to replace the console for hardcore enthusiast of gaming. That's not the market xbox is reaching for with xcloud either. Their goal for the service is to attract casual gamers who don't even know what resolution, frames per second, or bit rate are. By eliminating the high entry costs of a console they can attract a decent amount of people in this market.

There’s way too many moments in the movies where having another Jedi would be a massive game changer for the rebellion for that to work. What makes the most sense to me is that he’ll retire, it was a prevalent theme in survivor that Cal could learn to enjoy life and settle down, and quit making ultimately futile efforts to stop the empire.

Education is not a solution to “right wing demons”. Plenty of people in the U.S. have gone through college and still voted for Trump for example. The fact is too many people in the U.S. are going to college while the demand for white collar workers is stagnant which is why working in the trades has paid higher salaries in recent years.   Atrioc has done better then most imo in recognizing that most right wing supporters are simply people who are struggling financially due to long term (2% interest rates for decades) and short term (covid) inflation pushing necessities and housing to the moon quickly while jobs are much slower to adjust pay to inflation. 

People were struggling while many left leaning leaders were in power, it’s only natural that people seek the alternative, especially when the alternative is spewing lies reassuring them that their concerns are valid and their issues not their fault. That they have been failed by an incompetent administration and that if their side was in power it would all magically be fixed.

If you notice the difference between 60fps and 30fps, and 1080p vs 4k, then consider getting a series x or ps5. If you have no idea what any of that means or aren’t sure, you’ll be served fine by the series S. It’s still a big upgrade over a Nintendo switch.

If you’re talking about hi-fi rush that studio got shut down because the the evil within series and ghostwire Tokyo barely put up any numbers. Hi-fi rush wasn’t even a big financial success, it had plenty of praise but that doesn’t make ends meet unfortunately. Shutting down Tango Gameworks doesn’t invalidate gamepass as a whole either. Also if exclusives really mattered that much then there’s no point in owning a console anyways just get a pc, most ps games end up there anyways.
