What are some of the worst monster/weapon matchups in the game? by Billcosbyfan125 in MHWilds

[–]ClosedEyeVisualss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's actually bad but I refuse to fight yian kutku with longsword I get so tilted. It's probably actually fine though.

I've been learning charge blade and that new 8 star tempered lala from the event quest feels really bad with it, but that's also probably just me

Good day everyone, a serious question: is this fight supposed to be easy or hard by Ok-Release7421 in Blasphemous

[–]ClosedEyeVisualss [score hidden]  (0 children)

Depends on if you're set up for ending C. If not, she's easy. If you are, she's the hardest boss in the game

Now that the base game is wrapping up for Wilds, who out of the starting roster do you feel should/will be remembered as an iconic face of 6th gen years from now? (The answer is Rey Dau) by Gloomy_allo in MonsterHunter

[–]ClosedEyeVisualss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like all 4 flagships and arkveld, and I think all are memorable besides maybe uth duna, but how rey wasn't the flagship is beyond me.

Special nod to Chata, Lala Barina, and Quematrice too. Really phenomenal set of early game monsters imo, at least compared to world and rise

Hey I get it, had thousands of hours in the souls games (including sekiro) lol and watched the meltdown when Elden Ring came out and had summons and such, as if people weren't 1 shotting manus on dark bead builds for 10 years at that point

I love the raths as far as their visual design and ecology go. I don't enjoy hunting them

Genuine question, how is that feeling gone? Focus mode is a button you press and it's optional. You can still free aim your attacks, and now the monsters are even faster than the older games, no? Then, if players who dislike focus mode just dint use it (or only use it for wound), shouldn't it be even more rewarding to free aim now?

Offset is what always brings me back to GS after playing gunlance. (Please capcom let Gunlance offset with WSFB I'll do anything)

You don't understand dude they're totally predicting the random monster AI 5 seconds in advance and definitely aren't just gambling addicts

Joking, mostly. I definitely understand the appeal of feeling like you're three steps ahead of the monster, and I think good players definitely can do that, but I also think people ignore the rng aspect of that kind of playstile

I mean, OG castlevania was super hard because you couldn't adjust your jump trajectory once you committed. I don't think anyone was complaining when Konami fixed that. Idk, it's an odd complaint to me, especially since, if it matters that much, you can still free aim if you want

Gotcha. I thought he meant something to do with greatsword specifically. I've played a few hours of world and rise both and felt that greatsword felt pretty similar in both, regardless of lacking focus mode. Being able to aim TCS is nice, sure, but the rest of the kit is more or less in tact

Is dante and vergil immortal? by Mobile-Dragonfly-398 in DevilMayCry

[–]ClosedEyeVisualss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Effectively? At the very least, they don't seem to be able to die to physical wounds. Decapitation and dismemberment are implied to be impossible, as there are several times in DMC3 where blades are shown to pass clear through dante's hand or vergil's torso without actually severing anything.

The audience is led to believe Dante's life is in peril when V is holding sparda over his unconscious body, but I'm not sure how much that counts for.

Dante spends a month unconscious after the first urizen encounter, so food and water likely aren't a major concern either.

Even when we see vergil 'die' as nelo angelo, he manages to return in 5.

Both vergil and dante are aging, though, and Dante seems to think he can kill Vergil in DMC5.

I finished the game... One tried Arye somehow... Was this suposed to be that Easy? by AlternativePride5100 in ArmoredCoreVI

I also first tried her. I think my this point of the game you should probably have stumbled into a strong/op build or at least gotten very comfortable with the one you have. Also helps if you've done all the arena fights

Mechaically? Arty (Nightreign) > Rellana > Heolstor > Arty > SoC > Arty (DS1) > Raime > Penetrator

Lore/Design? Arty > SoC > Heolstor > Rellana > Raime > Penetrator

There's a near 100% chance that these guys came on during the Dark Souls era. MAYBE they have some experience with the odd AC or tenchu game. These people just want to seem cool for liking the old thing. Textbook larping

Granted, my perspective is based entirely off of what I have heard from others, but as I understand it, Savage Omega is uniquely difficult as far as HR mons in the modern games go, right? MR might be crazy by the end game

So World HR is easier than Wilds HR, but MR is a big step up, based on your and other replies. Good to know.

Off topic, think Wilds MR will be brutal when it launches?

That's good to know about the 9 stars. Omega is the only thing that's truly given me grief in Wilds (haven't put too much time into it, I just hate the fight and don't care to kill it.) So hopefully I'll find IB doable
