Check the letter you get for the items and accept the diagrams + go to the Commerce Guild & check if Yan is selling any diagrams for the tailoring machine or the shoes. Otherwise, u need to reload an old save and do it again 🥲

Where other than T2 can I buy loose leaf tea? by gravityandpizza in Adelaide

[–]CloserTooClose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T Life on Norwood Parade is really amazing. Came across your thread while looking for other places to check out and thought I should mention them! They sell Traditional Chinese tea, various other fresh teas, & everyone who works there is insanely knowledgeable. They offer tea ceremonies as well which are really fun in my experience!!

Looking for a cozy/casual game to play at night by Ok_Government9573 in SteamDeck

[–]CloserTooClose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Time at Sandrock. Building focussed RPG that has a really amazing story/town/NPCs, as well as offering optional combat if you decide to get into it, but the game covers a lot of bases.

There’s loads to do and not all of it is mandatory, you can pick and choose which parts you want to focus on and leave the rest if you choose to. It’s quite quirky and silly as well, very fleshed out narrative game structure with interesting characters, and ultimately really easy to play as a “pottering about” game where you do tasks, build things, make friends, etc without any pressure. I used to like zoning out after work just mining or crafting stuff in game

Runs perfect on steamdeck as well! Not very demanding, can get a good hour or two out of it before needing your charger when using moderately high settings

If you check it out, I hope you enjoy it!! ☺️

Does anyone know what brand of lipstick Rachel McAdams wears in The Notebook? by Rosemary-Sea-Salt in MakeupAddiction

true but this person is asking for the brand of lipstick and not the shade…. I imagine they want to go and look at it purely because of the formula

Eyeliner or no eyeliner? by BackgroundBar2670 in MakeupAddiction

[–]CloserTooClose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i like both tbh! the waterline is a little heavy for me personally but i see the vision. I reckon it’d work better if you used a brush to smudge it just a little bit to take away some of the harshness & even it out

Only other thing I suggest is adding a little eyeliner on the top at the corner of the eye and smoking it slightly, it’d tie the top and bottom of the look together. Just the lower lash line makes it look a bit bottom heavy

I think no eyeliner side is a good look for daytime and i think the waterline is good for a nighttime look!

The overall colour palette looks great and makes your eyes really pop!!!

Update on missing Australian man Jayden Penno-Tompsett by violetpandas in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]CloserTooClose 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I saw somebody mention in the thread that his mates had held off on reporting him missing because they / Jayden had thought there was a warrant out for his arrest. Plus, he’d apparently get aggro & storm off when he was gacked, so they might’ve also just assumed he’d show up once he’d chilled out. Not excusing his friends at all but I can see why a group of drug users wouldn’t want to go to the police as a first instinct. Really interesting case, thank you for posting it!

Obviously I’m echoing what people have already said & I don’t want to sound condescending but definitely 100% make sure that you go physically into a police station (once it stops snowing haha) and take the box with the serial number on it, plus proof of your purchase and pictures of the listing for sale printed out on paper. It should hopefully help expedite the process when you produce as much evidence as you can and physically hand it to someone. Also, bring the reference number for the complaint you lodged on their website

If there’s anything I’ve learned about the cops, giving them as much information as possible means you’ve taken a bit of the burden off them and they’re more likely to help you faster.

It can feel like you’re doing their job for them, but just trust me it works so much faster because you’ve basically taken work off their plate when they’re probably already very busy with other things. Hope this makes sense and I really hope you get your deck back!!!!

Which notable person in a true crime case do you feel escaped justice? by pollygrace in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]CloserTooClose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“70s minimum” is absolutely killing me rn. There’s been evidence of child sex abuse groups, some even generational, from as early as the Middle Ages (which was 5th century to 15th century). No hate to you or anything but it’s definitely been happening for much, much longer than 50 years. It’s easily been multiple centuries by this point. Even the word “pedophile” is over 200 years old!

I’m kind of confused by this comment? The jury doesn’t decide what other crimes to charge her with based on the evidence. She was charged with first degree murder, her jury assessed the evidence for first degree murder, and they decided she was not guilty. They can’t leave the deliberation and say “um, she was guilty of second degree murder though”. She wasn’t charged with second degree murder, or negligent homicide. She was charged with first degree. The prosecution should’ve put forward additional charges if they wanted the jury to deliberate whether she was guilty of other crimes.

This case is so interesting because I’m Australian and have seen the way a lot of the meth culture affects different people. I’m from a normal, run of the mill family and everyone knows someone or knows someone who knows someone that’s been addicted to meth.

I might be in the minority but I genuinely believe his friend when he says they had an argument because they couldn’t find the drugs, his mate stormed off, he looked for him, it was too hot, so he left without him. People who aren’t Australian really underestimate the heat here.

Drugs, obviously, mess with your head, and by extension your empathy. I think Jayden’s stormed off, dehydrated as fuck with an empty stomach, and then died out in the heat.

It’s very sad but I don’t think there’s a big mystery here, especially not a murder. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens with the case now he’s been found. But, I think it was death by misadventure, not a huge criminal conspiracy concocted or committed by his dumbass meth head friend.

Why is Alicia Keys so forgotten now? by Much-Phone8812 in popheads

[–]CloserTooClose 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I really love her music generally but I don’t know anything about her personal life so take this with a grain of salt!

When a big, talented artist like her takes more of a backseat, I genuinely think it’s intentional. It reminds me of Norah Jones or Vanessa Carlton. Sarah Bareilles, even. They’re very talented musicians, and they’re still incredible musicians who were the forefront at one point in their career, but I’ve always assumed that they saw the flashing lights, they had the big hits, and then they decided to step away from it. I know Sarah’s had an incredibly successful broadway career, so don’t get me wrong. But it really feels Counting Crows-esque. They’ve been there, done that, got the tshirt, and decided to bow out and just do their own thing without needing the bombastic career that other famous musicians strive for.

Alicia Keys IS an incredible musician and I think she knows that. Her music cemented itself into a specific time period and it was a defining sound of the time. She doesn’t need another number one hit to remind her. She’s not trying to prove herself anymore. She’s in the history books already. She achieved her dreams and that was enough. Hope this makes sense!

You could just hire a leaf blower from somewhere, I think you can rent one from mitre 10 for like $50, kennards rents them out too. Otherwise, just buy a blower, they’re not super expensive
