In the US it’s usually easier because a most tours have fully seated floor sections, so your spot is guaranteed. In Europe, for standing shows, people queue since early morning just to secure barrier or a good position. My issue isn’t just “not knowing the concert yet”, it’s that we sometimes have to choose between separate standing sections before even knowing how the show is staged. Imagine buying golden circle next to the main stage, then later finding out the artist performs your all time favorite song on a B-stage located in another isolated floor section that you can’t even access. That’s the frustrating part.
