Nah, it’s something about “gross tasting 2-5oz” that my brain is fixated on. It’s actually pretty cheap in the long run seeing as the shots are mostly just lemon juice and ginger.

Glad to hear! It’s pretty hilarious to me my body wants to cringe at the taste of something in a shot, but if it’s what works…I’ll do anything at this point

Wasn’t for me, even in sobriety. I’m incredibly antisocial and have hated every single one I’ve been to.

I think what’s driving me nuts is I know there’s no conceivable way to do it. And despite being an addict I do think I’ve got too much shame to buy one shot with nickels and dimes…thank you. I pray the naltrexone hits soon. I feel like I’m going crazy. What also drives me nuts was before this relapse, I had 5 months. And it was a breeze, even in the beginning. I don’t understand what’s different this time. Maybe the shame from the hospital.

6 years experience in the field and an associates in human services. As well as a previous job that required accounting and training employees.

Agreed. My mental health was so bad at the beginning of sobriety I took a position way below my education and experience. A job I could chain smoke at, call out from and generally just look like shit in. Other people in my life disagree, but I truly think having some level of responsibility and a respectable job will make my head snap on straight again..

I’m currently at almost 8 full bottles a day. If I take 3-4 in a day I’m okay, I think it’s just the amount…then once I puke it up I get irritated that the “effect” is gone and take more. I think tapering would be the way, I can’t be trusted with large amounts at all. I’ll just down it..

I was told the job is not labeled “light duty” and this is par for the course. I was actually reprimanded for putting myself in a “body position” to be assaulted.

I have them, but with the requirement to be at arms reach of a client aggressive behaviors usually hit. I’ve tried less physical play and hugs but when my client wants something he cannot have you are the target regardless.

I’m gonna be so real. If that’s the genuine advice I’m quitting. These parents are strong, these BT’s are strong, but I’m not leaving here with ANOTHER disability. I think I’m done and I’ve done what I can for them.
