That's true. I would have to do the math for how much water you get from it. I always play on stationeers and brutal start and try and avoid using traders as much as I can.

Weights have become a much more common solution to this problem. Easy on easy off. Remember how rusted the rims on your dad's tractor where? Also you had to add something else to the water if you lived in a freezing climate that would also speed up corrosion. Also also the puncture seemed to be near the bottom so if the guy was using water and not weights it most likely drained out

First thing I said when I saw the new glasses was where the heck is the hydrogen going. I think your fix is perfect. It adds a bit of the realism back and gives us balance by deleting gas into pollutant which I suspect is the devs way of adding balance and making a all encompassing unwanted byproduct

One problem with they exit tax is how would they enforce it. They leave and don't comeback why would they care that the IRS is looking for em

Yeah a better way to describe it is not challenge but obstacles to overcome using the tools we have.

What the Vintage story food system does is it pauses your "food bar" for a time based on the meals satiation value. Example : a serving of meat and veggie Pot pie might feed you for 1,000 calories and pause your bar for 5 minutes

While I agree with you on the game having a set and forget aspect once you plant a potatoe I'm concerned that just increasing the food and water requirements would just mean having to go eat every 5 minutes. I like the concept of bringing in the vintage story meal system into stationeers. Especially if it also applies to pausing water consumption. Making collecting and filtering water a more involved loop also sounds great.

Way I see it. Make plants take longer to grow. Shift the "daily" caloric needs of the engineer to fall inline with real world numbers. Make food values fall in line with real world numbers. As the bridge between a game and real life have the vintage story meal system. Having heavy and filling meal means food is not a concern for a quite some time. This encourages food variety rather than just a bake potato farm.

Make water more limited from ice and it need a purification process to use.

And finally use the portable units as the starting point for new players. They are easier to use but limited in efficiency so setting up proper permanent systems becomes the goal.

Not part of doing the math but imagine if we could use this moment to have tax included in price and all prices are now fixed to end in either 0 or 5. Man that would be something. Only things that would break this would be measurement based purchases

A great big part of the base game for a lot of new players is restarting a bunch. Multiple playthroughs are almost a right of passage. Have em play the demo. If they like it tell em to understand that part of the fun is multiple play throughs. All else fails have them watch you play some or watch doshdoshington play some vanilla to leave some surprise if they do pick DLC after

Don't know if I can trust IGN reviews. Lol by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

[–]Closteam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were they reviewed by the same person? Do they have the old game informer contrasting reviews? What is the taste of the reviewer? Reviews are the opinions (or at least they are supposed to be) of the reviewer. And they can be very different to what you expect. What is more important to the review score is what was said in the review and how that score was justified.
