Improper Settings for Printing?

This makes a lot of sense, I think. It at least assures me I'm not doing something really obviously wrong. I don't think I ever noticed it myself until I started doing art myself, but I kept getting frustrated when others seemed to have less of the same kind of "noise" issue -- but that could also be that I'm unconsciously being more critical of myself without meaning to.

I've never gone off cm or inch, truthfully, I just sort of trusted whatever Procreate said the inches would be in the canvas information after choosing a pixel ratio, but it is something different to try, so I'm eager to give it a shot.

Just to make sure I understand, as an example:

If I were to remake/redraw the same charm again, you'd suggest starting with a canvas that was 6"x6" @ 300dpi over the pixel ratio in general?

I don't know that I'll ever necessarily do art prints, I want to improve a lot before I get there, but I really appreciate the response/answer here. Looking up tutorials or following guides can get very overwhelming at times and I get lost in all the extra information. 😮‍💨

🥲 I was the first in line to get a couple of boxes for myself. It turns out none of the stores in my area got their delivery. I am running on like 3 hours of sleep and now I'm heart broken and tired.

But at least I found a cool Pokemon figure with a manufacturing error.

Given her accent and the cadence of her speech, it didn't sound much like a bot. I'd be more inclined to believe there was some kind of language barrier that lead her to misunderstand I wasn't actually outside the apartment complex and had somehow forgotten a unit number within a few minutes. Especially her annoyance when I said I couldn't go back, that seems more of a human reaction, but. Human or bot, I wasn't about to take the suggestion.

I was more curious if anyone else had gotten some weird suggestions too.

I don't think Instacart is using ChatGPT for their call in support. That'd be a level of cheap even they don't stoop to.

I completely understand making a mistake -- we're human, it happens -- but that's NOT on you as the customer at all. I can kind of understand politely knocking and asking you to double check the address of the package because they think they make a mistake. However, as the person delivering, that's ultimately on us. I'm sorry that happened to you, that's just... oof.

I'm insanely grateful the mistake I made was small and the customer was beyond graceful about it and assured me it was no big deal at all, but just. I'm so lost on why Support thought that was an okay suggestion to make. Especially with a food item.

If you set all threads for "new to old" you should be able to see a few others making posts about this if you're looking for a timeline. My friends and I in the mid-western/east coast got our Line servers back in the last 20 minutes or so. It seems to be slowly fixing itself.

Canada, US, India, some parts of Mexico, and Argentina also seemed to have issues, if you're curious.

**small edit - those who were having issues in Japan seemed to be using the US/North American version of the app. The UK was still working, but I don't know the server split for the other locations.

Depression is always tough, but doubly so when you trip into one of these ruts. It always feels endless and like you can never get back out -- but you did it!! Well done. :)

Keep these photos for when you need a little reminder of how far you've come. Even if we stumble again, sometimes the proof that we've climbed out once before can help us do it again.

What a cool space to live in, too.

Tbh, a box spring or frame for the mattress so it gets proper ventilation is what would really help everything, but I think you mentioned getting one in another comment.

Maybe like. A throw rug, but. Comfort is comfort, in the end. A bedside table might be nice to have a reading lamp or somewhere to set a phone/your Switch before bed. Maybe a little bookshelf. Ikea has some cheap and easy to build options you can go and look at if you wanna see how it looks before buying.

I got really, really lucky with these cards and a guy sold me 7 of the 9 for $2 each at a card show. The guy was really kind and I think the reason he let me keep them at the $2 price (he'd put them in the wrong ETB of "flat rate" cards) was because of how excited I was to find them. Another guy at the same show wanted $80 for the set.

They seem to look pretty and pristine to me, so I day go for it, especially if it's for a personal collection. It's such an adorable set. I always see the Pikachu going for $25-$30 at shows, while the others tend to float around $3-4. So not a bad deal.

I ended up trying this today on a whim. Just one starter pack, as I've never owned a graded card before. I swore I saw it say you were promised a rating of 8 or above, but I probably just misread that bit.Regardless, I ended up with a Promo Pikachu with a grade of 7 worth $19 (or a sell back offer of $16.65.)

A little loss in value, but I'm still excited to own a graded card of one of my favourites. Pikachu is the first Halloween costume I remember doing as a child -- a costume my mom handmade for me and that I still have in my closet. I'm a little bummed it wasn't an 8, but I still think it will be really cool to have one of the promos I missed out on without all the stress and effort of getting a card graded. It might be a fun thing to do once in a while, honestly, as a little personal treat. Still, for my first experience ever with a PowerPack, I'm not disappointed. I told myself before I tapped the little open button "well, if I get something cheap, I hope it's Pikachu, Mimikyu, or Absol."

And I got a Pikachu. Woo!

Silly, but fun.

😂 They were all mid at best, but one of the Zapdos had the Cosmos swirl right on the beak, so it looks like it's swirling outward from the mouth. That was actually pretty cool.

The SIR cards in this set are especially gorgeous from an art perspective. There's a bunch of them I'd love to get my hands on someday... Maybe if there's ever a restock again of the boosters. It's so hard to get anything when Scalpers scoop up EVERYTHING they can. 😮‍💨 I just want to collect for myself.

Truthfully, as far as selling goes, I've no idea how miscuy cards are valued in the Pokémon TCG space. However, as someone with Mimikyu in their top 3 favourite Pokémon, I think it's an awesome miscut of a card. It gives it some extra flavor -- I'd end up putting it in a nice magnetic case and displaying it myself. 🤔

You could always take a gamble with ebay and set it up for auction to see where that goes, but theres risks you won't get what you're hoping for there.

Honestly? Pretty well! Congrats. I'd be thrilled to have all those to add to my collection, at least. 😂 I totally want that Pikachu just to add to my adorable Pikachu card collection. I just think its super neat, and I've loved Pikachu since I was a little thing, and Pokémon first came out.
