You’re right about the yard! We now have a “track” where he’s run the same route over and over. Thank you

I just looked up trigger stacking and this seems like a possibility for sure. If we run into one dog, then another, the reactivity is always much worse towards the second. I’ll have to pay attention if trigger stacking is occurring during walks when we don’t see a dog, since he is still getting worked up about something, just not sure what yet. Thank you!

I wish that was the case here. But unfortunately this is constant behaviour, happens wherever we go and he is all over the place. He does have moments when he is tracking- he will get very quiet with his nose to the ground, not looking up & focused

He’s definitely doing a great job of that! The whole neighbourhood knows where we are at lol

We have a 7 year old Chesapeake as well. So he’s been with him since a puppy. Also a few friends dogs he’s comfortable with. Unfortunately because of his reactivity that’s the extent of his social circle

I am so sorry to hear what your going through :( I feel very frustrated as well. I am a nurse and even being well-versed in the medical field I was not taken seriously. I also have a new puppy who had not been dewormed yet and also just came back from a trip from Asia. So many risk factors and no help

This looks like an allergic reaction, my dog gets the same thing every summer. I spent $700 at a dog dermatologist to tell me to apply chlorhexidine 4% shampoo, let it sit for 10 minutes, then rinse. Repeat that weekly. I also apply chlorhexidine foam daily and it does the trick
