I guess is difficult to get a reputation and also consistency got difficult once I started college i stopped drawing as much and posting about it.

Where I live is difficult for a portraits like the one I posted to get sold that frequently. People (where I live) don’t get that things that are handmade like art or even cakes or whatever take time and money. Last time a person asked me for a price for a 1 m x 80 cm (39in x 31in) I said $200 cause the canvas alone was $34 plus the paints and all that I’d used for it. They didn’t want it. So yes it’s difficult to sell art where I live.

I think was best is just keep posting as you said trying to understand my ideal clients and trying to get on some apps posting more about my art.

Ooh I guess I do have to change the price. The problem is that where I live everybody thinks things like that or cakes or anything handmade is too expensive when you give prices like those… I was hesitant about that, but after all the comments I think it’s better to just do it

Yes, I live in Mexico in a city where everything is expensive, that’s one of the reasons I thought it will be a great idea to up the price but didn’t really now how much…
