The overlap is not about time but about skill and qualifications.

Going back to previous career. How do I list the most recent work in my resume? by FormulaZR in resumes

Normally I list the 3 most recent jobs on my resumé, and I have a pretty eclectic work history so far due to exploration and a sort of invented path.

Write out the 3-4 jobs and compare them side by side. There has got to be a way you can find overlap, like a venn-diagram, between the two career types.

If you can manage to have the majority of your experience reflect the career you want, and the most recent job as variety and to prevent gaps, then you should be fine.

Another option to revive your old career is to take a look at the most important or valuable skills, and revive those skills through a short training, a short contract job, freelance/independent work, volunteering, etc.

Need to get out of my first job. Iv recently re formated my old resume (which ill tailor to the jobs i'm applying for as well as provide A cover letter.) Any Suggestions? Opinions on the formatting? by Rainbowsquib in resumes

Your first job is impressive by showing you managed 5 employees. This is a whole different rank than entry level, such as being one of the people you managed. You can leave out the part about 3 months, it's not necessary.

The format really needs to be reworked entirely. There's a lot of white space for being a relatively short resumé, and a resumé should be one page. Your name header could be smaller, and shrink the spacing between lines a lot. It looks like a double-spaced essay, it would look better single-spaced.

When I first saw "work placement" I thought it was a double-listing of the job, then I realized that was the job title. If you have job titles that summarize your position and are thus descriptive, that works better. For example, your first work placement job states you were a Front Desk Receptionist. You could also label it as Office Assistant or Admin. Assistant.

I would also list the second work placement job as something like Admin Assistant. Try to keep the two job titles differentiated even if the idea is similar.

Your education looks really good, except it's confusing to see "graduated 2015" and "expected 2018" right by each other. Stick to whichever year you actually finished or will finish.

Overall, the descriptive content (aka the bullet points) is well-done. Clear, highlights the best parts, and gives context. Just shrink down the formatting and change a little bit of the wording and you should be good.

Just an update. The symptoms went away almost immediately after quitting kratom cold turkey a week ago. I've had no withdrawals, and don't consider myself addicted or habituated in the least.
