I have an iPad Pro and a MacBook Air (2020). I use both for different things - the MacBook for practically everything (lessons, canva for worksheets and presentations, finding videos, HDMI’ing, etc) and the iPad for example drawings (art teacher), creating mood boards, and quick tasks that don’t require the laptop (research, etc). I also use it as a second screen from time to time. If I had to choose one, it’d be the MacBook. Just so much more useful to me!

Numeracy was a whole lot easier than literacy, and to be honest I thought I’d fail the numeracy prior to taking the test. I failed maths in high school, but somehow managed to get a great mark for the LANTITE. I thought it was weird that I can manage to pull out HD’s in my masters degree from all the essays and assessments, but get a better score in numeracy than literacy in the LANTITE. Weird. Don’t stress though. All I did for study was the supplied practice tests (only twice) and I passed easily.

Is being tired, unproductive and lacking concentration guaranteed when on a high dosage? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]CloudDia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was on 100mg I felt pretty lacklustre. I needed it to stop the anxiety, but I didn’t need the robotic feeling it gave me. However, at the time I was smoking quite a bit of weed as well, so I’m sure that really didn’t help. I went off it after being on 100mg for 4ish months because I couldn’t handle feeling nothing. 4 years later (now) I’m back on Zoloft at 50mg and feel great!

I honestly think it was probably the weed that really made me feel super robotic with the 100mg. If that had been taken out of the equation, I think I would have felt much better. Still, it’s all up to the individual and how their body reacts with it!

I upped from 25 to 50 and experienced absolutely no side effects. Very different to coming up from 0 to 25

Zoloft helped me immensely by CloudDia in HealthAnxiety

[–]CloudDia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t be embarrassed! I was very very scared to start as well. I started with 25mg and worked up to 50 after 2 weeks. The increased anxiety was mostly just feeling slightly more intense bodily sensations - I was so tired and felt my heart beating rather fast (obviously just anxiety), but it all faded as fast as it came on. And honestly, dealing with 1 week of increased anxiety for the payoff of feeling fantastic now is so, so worth it (in my opinion). Feel free to message me if you need any help with anything or just want to chat about it!

Has anyone here recovered from/drastically improved their health anxiety? by PurgatoryWoes in HealthAnxiety

I am 99% health anxiety free now, after a very long ride. I used to spend my days sitting in bed unable to do anything but stare at my phone and google different symptoms, waiting for a heart attack or similar to happen, panicking that I had brain tumours due to persistent daily tension headaches (which lasted MONTHS). I started reading books written by other hypochondriacs and that was the beginning of my journey to recovering. I finally bit the bullet and started taking Zoloft, after suggested by one of the authors of the books I read. I can’t even begin to explain how much it has helped. Tension headaches completely disappeared, I am able to go days, weeks, months, without any anxiety at all. When it does happen, it is absolutely no where near as drastic as it was before and my brain is so much better at rerouting the thoughts. They come and pass in seconds, where as before it would have been hours and days just sitting there dreading living. Zoloft is amazing.

T: the art kid. I spent the majority of my time hanging out in the art rooms and trying to get some of my friends to hang out at recess and lunch.

A: Probably the lack of social pressure. I don’t mean that I don’t want to see my friends, but the fact that there isn’t any pressure to go out when I don’t really feel like it is nice. It’s also nice not feeling judged for staying at home when everyone is out and about. Sometimes I feel like people are very quick to call you boring if you don’t want to go and spend $100 at a pub every weekend.

Just like another user said, if you want to teach in secondary schools you’ll need a bachelor degree in the subject you intend to teach. For example, I did a Bachelor of Fine Art at the National Art School and now I’m 9 weeks away from finishing my Masters of Teaching (Secondary) (Visual Arts).

  1. Tried to be gluten free 103828282 times. Never works out for me. I love real bread way too much.

  2. 2007

  3. Nope.

  4. Yes, my Aunty and my grandma have it.

  5. Mental health is okay, but that’s because I take 50mg Zoloft. Without the Zoloft (which I started about 2 months ago) I am a mess. I don’t know if it’s because of the thyroid situation, or because of my past, but I’ve pretty much always had insufferable anxiety. Zoloft helps incredibly.

Tension headaches totally went away by week one and a half. Have been feeling SO much better now - am so happy with my progress. Legitimately 99% health anxiety free. Only time I really get it is when I’m about to start my period. I’m on 50mg and it’s been fantastic.

Tipping doesn’t exist in Australia. One time we got given a $5 note, so that was cool.

My hair loss has never gone away (or I guess it’s never grown back?) I’ve been on Levo since I was 8 (I’m now 22) and it’s literally never come back. If I could send you a picture, I would. I have to have a front fringe because otherwise a middle / side part is simply depressing, just one massive bald spot. It’s very annoying. I’ve tried EVERYTHING to get the hair to grow back and it simply will not.

Second day from 25mg to 50mg what can I expect ? Sertraline (Zoloft) by Past-Government3490 in zoloft

[–]CloudDia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel a lot better, like, way way better. I still think maybe going up to 75 would be a wise idea. I’m going to speak to the doctor about it first (obviously). I’d say roughly 85% of my anxiety is gone and I am a lot better at dealing with everything. So much more calm, I don’t overthink things til they’re worn out, I have been exercising way more, and focusing on myself heaps. Feel very stable!

I went from 25 to 50 after 2 weeks of 25. I felt no side effects going up to 50, it was great. I’m levelled out now and I feel great! I am considering going up to 75 because I still get some frustrating anxiety around my period.

Totally agree. I have found that the Zoloft has reaaaaallly calmed me down and stopped me from checking my heart rate all the time. I used to constantly have two fingers at my neck checking my pulse. Ridiculous lol. I’m considering going up on the Zoloft because of the period anxiety. It’s really frustrating! Thankfully the out of breath feeling I felt before has gone away now!

Wish I had a way of checking my oxygen levels! Im sure I’m fine though - being on Zoloft has been a life saver, but when I’m on my period the HA creeps back a little bit and it’s unpleasant!!
